I'm down. Maye and Little will be a handful up front but we will baptize their backcourt
Ugh that ugly-ass goon Maye isn't gone yet? is he on the 12 year Aaron Craft Scholarship?
Shitchyeaaa! Maybe we can replicate the ass-kicking we gave to A&M and assumed we were going to give to UNC back in March.
Crisper is gonna be a-ROCKIN for that one.
Crunchier than a Bojangles Cajun Chicken Biscuit.
Yup. But it's happened before.
10 years ago in 2008-09, we lost to Duke in the 2K Classic final at MSG but upset them at then-Crisler Arena two weeks later.
Missed your comment & posted the same thing.
omg that was 10 years ago i am oooolllldddddddddd
Happened one other time that I can recall. Played Duke twice in 2008-09 with the 2K Sports Classic. Lost the first game at MSG and then beat them at Crisler 2 weeks later.
Usually has to involve an early season tournament where the school doesn't control the schedule or other invited schools.
We will commit freakish murder against South Carolina. They will hurt so badly that they will say "ouch"
Make 'em sniff your ass, Big B!!!
they gon sniff it
Boys,
that was an awkward exchange...

opponents. The problems are always the 5 cupcakes that we schedule against 300+ body bags instead of teams in the 150-250 range that at least have a pulse but still have about a 2% chance of beating M. No reason to be scared of that.
That said, the effect on RPI is overblown around here. Didn't hurt M last year (maybe could have been a 2 instead of 3 seed but doesn't really matter), and generally doesn't hurt seeding (with 16-17 the notable exception).
As fan though, I'd much rather watch us play some MAC or Horizon teams rather than SWAC and MEAC yawners. The former are actually games that help the team and are a little more interesting.
It's not clear that it hurt our seed in 16-17 either. We were 20-11 entering the BTT - on the right side of the bubble, but not by that much. At that point we were probably like a 9 seed. Then we won four straight and moved up to 7. For a team with 11 losses, that's not that bad.
A good early barometer. Anyone know what UNC has coming back?
Maye, Johnson, Williams, Little will for sure be 4 of the 5 starters. PG may be a weak spot but I’m not super familiar with their roster. Woods may be the starting PG and he hasn’t shown much
Luke Maye coming back to earn his Alan Henderson 8th year senior award eh?
to be at! Glad it's at home!!
Can I take this extra?
he got the good ol' double post dibs.
I think they beat Kansas and UNC (along with Kentucky, the Final Four teams that year) in consecutive games in Hawaii.
Should've won the championship that year ... sigh.
IU had a loaded team that year, but Alan Henderson blew out his knee late in the season.
That is what beat us against Indiana. Fundamentals and discipline. They sound like coach speak, I know, but in this case that is exactly what happened. We did not protect the glass against Indiana, our interior players (Webber and Howard) floated around the perimeter too much and we didn't establish any real cohesive sets, got hurt overplaying with back door cuts. Bobby Knight took Fisher to the woodshed. That is how we lost those games.
At least he's a Chicago Bull Jumpman...
I hear ya - I'm over these unis anyway - I think they're ugly as hell with the small glosssy numbers high on the back and they fit tight on the chest and shoulders. Print on the front needs to be bigger too: let 'em know you're MICHIGAN!
