It's good to see this article cite not merely gymnastics and, now, volleyball, but also the MSU FB nd BB programs.

Although I understand the NCAA is investigating MSU gymnastics, I wonder if they will get around to looking at FB and BB too.

Also, it's not just a failure of MSU to report or seriously investigate the sexual assaults.  You need to ask why so many assaults are occuring in the first place.  Is it just the culture--as is commonly diiscussed?  Or is it more (eg PEDs)?

At least Baylor (eventually) fired the coaches responsible. At MSU, Mork and Tom get a free pass. And if either team has a good season next year, the local media narrative will all about how they overcame so many issues to lead their teams and help heal a wounded university.

And they skinned a Michigan coach alive becasue some players practiced too much.

I bet those $400/hour social media monitors are burning some serious midnight oil getting a report together for Engler and the BoT that informs them that this article has created a spike on the negative side of the old MSU-O-Meter.

Any way to find out what the grand tally that Sparty has now spent on their image salvage project...It is bad enough that we taxpayers are going to flip the bill on the legal losses coming to roost, but to have to also pay astronimical amounts of money to provide evidence and reports that the general feeling about MSU in the social media arena is that they suck ass is preposterous.

Had to stop reading these MSU stories it's like force feeding yourself arsenic.  I have friends who, unfortunately, went to that school.  They are all pretty disgusted with the never ending stream of bs coming out.

That is why I keep sharing this story. If alumni along with students and faculty can apply pressure to the BOT and Engler maybe things change.

The problem is they - Reclaim MSU - had a rally to oust the board and Engler last Friday and the turnout was maybe a hundred people. It proved to me that the vast majority of students, faculty, staff and alumni do not care.

If they do not care enough then I hope the University is sued into oblivion and students who do care transfer to other Universities..

I am okay with this dumpster fire dragging on for a few more years. The impact on recruiting and ensuing screeches from their fanbase would be entertaining. Alas, I am for the victims and really prefer to see this whole affair handled efficiently and with some grace.

Hasn't MSU already won regarding all of this? Nationally, I feel like the rest of the country could care less. My fiance lives in Florida and she doesn't follow sports at all but also has no knowledge of any of this. Even the people in Michigan I feel like you get numb to hear because you hear that there is more and you're sick of hearing it so you turn the channel or go to a different page.

I live in North Carolina and I have some bad news for all y'all:

There is a sizeable plurality of people who live outside of the midwest don't know there is a difference between "Michigan" and "Michigan State."  Wearing UM gear, I've gotten shit for Nassar and the rest of the clusterfuck that is MSU.

I patiently explain that UM and MSU are not the same, just like NC State and UNC.  Ohhhhh.

From my perspective, I would prefer that MSU stay out of the news entirely.  Stey under the damn rock you usually live under, Sparty.
