This appears to be old news:

"The NCAA received Ole Miss' response to Michigan's waiver request on March 28, the last day the school could respond"

Maybe I'm all wet here but if the 28th was Ole Miss' last day to respond then this should already be in the final stages.  NCAA came back and asked Michigan to provide more information, which they did.  I imagine they're in the final steps of reviewing everything and a final decision should be coming down the pipeline soon after.

Yeah, it seems to be old news.  But Dodd is usually an asshat that writes a verbose diatribes against someone.  He has written a lot against Michigan/Harbaugh.  Yet, this 'story' is nothing more than a rehash of facts.  Where is the diatribe against Ole Miss?

Dodd is crap.  Always has been, always will be...

Isn’t Dodd the one whose idea of a scoop or “research”, basically just copying someone else’s thoughts? If he’s lifting from someone famous, he acknowledges them and makes it like they’re bros, and if they’re unknown, he gives less credit to them. Much much less credit. Maybe I’m thinking of the wrong one. Someone on CBS Sports . . .

It's not my whole shtick.  I've got others.

But it did start me thinking about something.   If you read the comments in this or any of the other Patterson threads you'll see the same people saying the same things in each one.   No real new revelations or insight.  People who think Michigan soft-played the appeal needlessly still think that and people who are optimistic that this means nothing still believe that.   They are repeating the same thoughts and observations they made earlier.   And in virtually every case there are no board reprecussions or admonishments for the repeated thoughts.

But when i repeat "hey I told you guys this was going to happen" all hell breaks loose.  NOBODY likes hearing it and I take all manner of shit for repeating it.  Why is that?   Why is reminding others you saw something unfolding before it happened (cause I've been around the block a few times perhaps) such an unpleasant and horrific act?  Why dont the same people who tell me it gets old say the same thing when a poster repeats, almost word for word, their thoughts in this and every othter thread on the subject?

I would really like to know that.   Cause it CLEARLY pisses off about 99% of the board when I do.

Are you going to remind people that you MIGHT be right about a 50/50 scenario? Who else CONSTANTLY says “I told you so” about something that’s 50/50? Who else? I just don’t know why you have to KEEP saying it, it’s weird for someone your age. It’s annoying to the point I used my one comment per year for this.

I got no issue with you. I read what you wrote. I’m not sure how else to convey the annoyance. I don’t see anyone else saying “I told you so” as often as you do about a coin flip decision. Pretty sure that’s the message “99% of the board” is trying to say. Carry on, Go Blue

This sounds slightly more optimistic than you were last week. If I remember correctly, it was "50/50 at best" then. Has something materially changed, or did the assessment simply change a bit after the dust settled?

I want Ole Miss to stop sucking at football, and to win enough games, whether it will be in 2018 or 2019, to be in a very very very big bowl game. I want them to get to that bowl game, and in front of the nation’s viewers, get blown off the field so badly, take such a beat down, that they become a popular punchline, and have abysmal recruiting until all of their present players and recruits that they are trying to indenture, reach retirement age.

Did I forget to mention? I want the team that humiliated them in that bowl game to be from the Midwest. From any midwestern state shaped like a mitten. Any state like that will do, but the midwestern team does need to have extremely cool maize and blue helmets. With wings. Wings are a must.

Oh yeah, and I want the midwestern mitten team to play with a transfer QB. Any transfer QB with an Irish name will do.

Hope I’m not being picky or anything . . .

At this rate he will probably be ruled eligible.. In November. Nothing like a long, convoluted process to make a yes/no decision. Interesting dynamic going through spring practice not knowing if your clear cut #1 QB will be eligible or not. How many 1st team reps do you give the other guys?

Well no shit they’re going to oppose it. Supporting it implies they’re in agreement that they did something wrong. I know why we want them to do it, but why would we realistically expect them to support the transfer?

It’s in the NCAA’s hands now, and given their track record for doing the right thing (or lack thereof) my bet is Patterson will be riding the bench next season.

Let’s force MSU to get NCAA permission for future rapes. By the time all the paperwork has been submitted by Sparty and they have gone back and forth with the NCAA a couple times, the poor co-eds MSU wants to rape would have graduated and they would have to begin the process again.

Relax guys.... I’ve told you for almost two months that Shea will be eligible. I stand by this and I’ve also said the decision is already known, but they have to go through the legal process. Don’t believe the b.s that this might not go our way. This will be public knowledge very soon.

I can’t or I would. I get your pessimism of me and I’m ok with it. When Shea is eligible and he gets interviewed how do you think he will respond? I promise you he will say he just found out because that is what he has to say. You are really naive if you think people don’t know the outcome of legal proceedings sometimes before the results are officially announced.

Yes, obviously things are worked out well ahead of time. The facts are in favor of eligibility. Hence, by all accounts he will play this fall. Ole Miss had to take the stance that they did even though we hoped they wouldn’t. FACT. It is still in the hands of the NCAA. A decision has not been rendered as of yet.
