Her resignation letter simply perpetuated the missteps and ineptitude of how MSU's adminsitration has handled this so far. I mean, she basically said, "....and I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you meddling kids." I suppose when you've punctured both eardrums with a pencil and then bled all over your desk, you are officially tone deaf.

Rachael Denhollander was the reason.  Is the reason.  Is the big damn hero of this whole story.  And is also a great writer and speaker.  Everyone should read (or ideally watch, it's on Youtube) her statement from today.

First leader at MSU who at least figured out the right words to say is Trustee Brian Mosallum.  He should still resign for not forcing this a week ago, or upon Nassar's plea deal being made, or the first reports about at least the 2014 Title IX investigation being an utter sham.

But still, better than his colleagues.

As Nassar’s legal journey to prison was drawing to a close, more and more negative attention was focused on Michigan State University, and on me. I am pleased that statements have been made by Mr. Fitzgerald and Board members about my integrity and the fact that there is no cover-up.
I have tried to make it not about me. I urge those who have supported my work to understand that I cannot make it about me now.

Up until now, I was willing to let justice find those responsible...LAS, with this fucking blabbering, poor me, statement has now caused me to find her guilty of....if nothing else, complete and utter ignnorance and self indulgence. Goddamn what loathsome bitch she is.

What a self-centered, self-serving, selfish person. If I was advising her, I would say, OK, that is the letter you want to write. Now throw it away and write the resignation letter you know you should write, the one that acknowledges your failings and apologizes humbly to the victims. The one that would have started the healing. This is just more obfuscation and deflection. Shame on you, Ms. Simon.

The next chapter includes criminal charges for Klages, Simon and others who had info, suppressed complaints. Thats why we have such a letter essentially not claiming responsibility. Following that will be civil lawsuits naming USAG, MSU, individual defendants. Fieger has been licking his chops awaiting this pha$e
