Regardless of the reason for the suspension of the license, how in the world does that make it OK that he drove while his license was suspended?  He pled to "defective equipment" when in fact he was driving without a valid license?? The idiodacy of this is incredible.  Another thing, would a regular Joe be able to get a similar case resolved within 2 days? NO, he'd have to wait weeks!  Gosh darn those prosecutors in the wastland of EL.... Sick.

and this one can be onerous if not dealt with regardless of how the university treats it. I really don't think it matters whether Dantonio takes a public position on this, because the issue is about self resoponsibility and if he is paying the onerous fines conneted with repeated violations, then he is accepting certain responsibility. But the issue does bear on team aims and goals, and thus the coach is responsible if only in how this is viewed by outsiders.

Here's my take on this in a different place in time: This wouldn't happen under Bo and my dad. And I say this only because there views of the world and how you deal with personal responsibility and choice is far different today and how I was taught.

I don't make judgments about others. I am not certain what Dantonio's team rules and punishment require. And because I sdon't know, I can't make judgmets about what is tolerated and how it's treated.

The only judgment I would make about this repeated violation is that it demonstrates a total lack of personal discipline, and would imply the kid can't be trusted as either a teammate or citizen.  And for that reflected perception, Dantono is totally responsible for the way his program and he is reviewed.

I was reading through and intended to post something nearly the same as one of my two major points. My other main point/concern is the open alcohol charge. Though I need more details than I've seen so far over the two LJ Scott threads, it seems he's getting off that incident with nary a problem. Being that he obviously was thumbing his nose at the legal system constantly over the last 1 1/2 years, I have a huge problem with Scott being neither disciplined by Mork nor held accountable by the courts for that infraction. But once again he's getting off Scott-free (pun INTENDED). Next time someone may be his victim, someone may die or be disabled for life. A line needs to be drawn, accountability needs to be demanded. It's not.

What got me was that apparently he had the done all that was necessary but didn't have the paperwork on him.  If I had paid thousands of dollars and been cited 6 times earlier, I'd make sure to hold onto that paperwork wherever I went.

But whatever, this really isn't that big a thing beyond the number of violations.

I guess I still don't understand what is hard about riding a bicycle around campus, assuming Scott is self-aware enough to realize that he does not get along with traffic laws when it comes to automobiles. Of course, this wouldn't have helped with his scrapes in Ohio as that is a hell of a bicycle ride from East Lansing, but still....these seem like easily avoidable things and yet here he is. I could be way off there, of course.

Here they go again effectively “cheating” their way to the top or to their advantage.... sparty gonna spart. Mork is a buckeye in green clothing. He gets lessons from Izzoff.
