Noon Games (open thread) + Viewing Schedule
Not a great week for college football, but it's college football nonetheless!

Clemson already up 7-0. PSU/N'Western kicking off. Grass at Ryan Field looks a little longer to slow down Barkley.

So much for Clemson coming out slow. Kelly bryant looking good.
Dangit.

I don't actually expect anything other than a blowout victory for the Sooners, but one of my cousins is a faculty member at ISU so I always root for them. Especially when they play Iowa.
Edit: Bando, you called it.

Northwestern has done a good job of bottling up Barkley so far. He's getting hounded in the backfield. Penn State needs to figure out how to get him the ball in space.

Northwestern's D looks pretty good so far, but that offense has looked increasingly hopeless. When you're Northwestern playing a team like Penn State, you need to take your chances when you get them. They had some chances in the red zone early and came away with nothing. The window is pretty much closed.

Great stop by N'Western on PSU on 3rd down. See if they can do it on 4th.

Big time stand for the Wildcats!
Just as I was going to praise PSU for how creative they are in getting the ball in the hands of Barkley....they don't let him get another touch the entire series.

Ugh.

October 7th, 2017 at 12:22 PM ^
that KB is this good...backup better than starter
J'OK make it happen!
October 7th, 2017 at 12:23 PM ^
Bryant is not a backup
October 7th, 2017 at 12:30 PM ^
As in when Watson was still around.
KB looks as sharp as Watson.

NW really needs to just throw the football. Their backs are having a hard enough time just getting back to the line of scrimmage let alone getting actual positive yardage.

God knows what's going to happen with us tonight, but we're going to beat PSU.
October 7th, 2017 at 12:27 PM ^
looking listless. NW stop shooting yourself in the foot.
We can beat PSU.
October 7th, 2017 at 12:29 PM ^
How come on punts...if the ball hits at the 50 and I "accidentally" hit/punch/kick the ball back to gain more yardage on the punt...the ref will move the ball to where I touched it at the 50.
But if the punt is on the 5 and I hit/punch/kick it into the endzone by accident...they call a touchback, not down at the 5 where I touched it?
