Michigan falls to 8th in both the Coaches Poll and the AP Poll
Coaches Poll: http://sportspolls.usatoday.com/ncaa/football/polls/coaches-poll/
Michigan was jumped by Oklahoma State. Penn State moved past USC to 4th, Ohio State stayed at 9th, and Wisconsin moved up two spots to 10th. Maryland is the next highest ranked Big Ten team at 29th. And for those who are wondering Purdue received no votes.
AP Poll: http://collegefootball.ap.org/poll
Michigan was passed by Oklahoma State in the AP Poll too. Penn State jumped USC to move to 4th, and Wisconsin jumped Ohio State to move to 9th. The Buckeyes fell two spots to 10th. Maryland is at 28th, and as with the Coaches Poll Purdue has no votes.

I never had us ahead of Oklahoma St. anyway, no movement as far as I'm concerned. Thought PSU should've been higher than USC as well.
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Oklahoma
- PSU
- USC
- Washington
- Oklahoma St.
- Michigan
- OSU
- Georgia
- Wisconsin
- FSU
- Va Tech
- TCU
- Miami
- Auburn
- USF
- Miss St.
- Wash St.
- Louisville
- Oregon
- Utah
- SDSU
- Vanderbilt
- LSU
Florida doesn't get to be ranked off a hail mary over an average Tennessee team. IMO, rankings don't mean much for Michigan. I don't think this team is good enough to lose a game and get into the playoff this season. We've got PSU, OSU, and Wisky x2 in front of us. Have to win them all.

LSU also beat BYU 27-0...meanwhile Florida looked like dogshit versus Michigan just like LSU did versus Miss St.
Florida also looked like dogshit for 3 quarters yesterday. I've at least seen LSU play well this year, I haven't seen a thing from Florida other than a hail mary.
LOL, you don't have a point when you're arguing opinion.

I never said Miss St. is as good as Michigan, but actually right now? I think it's pretty daggone close. I just feel like we'll get better where Miss St. is playing closer to their potential.
My point was both teams had throw away dogshit performances. So let's look at their OTHER games...
LSU has shown a pulse versus BYU. They looked solid.
UF looked TERRIBLE for 3 quarters versus Tennessee.
1 team has shown this season they can play football. The other team has not shown anything all season. Correction, they've shown their QB can throw a 66 yard dime and take care of a horrible defensive play call and mistake by a CB.
1 game versus 1 play, I'll take the full game.
You all are also arguing the #25 team in someone's personal opinion poll that means nothing.

LSU beat BYU 27-0.
UF was gifted 2 TDs by Speight and still lost by 16 in a game that could've been something like 44-3.

Dude, you've got to get over your Speight hate. What did he do, steal your girlfriend? Every post you make on here is about how bad Speight is. Why don't you change your username to umhater323.

Disagree. If you judge UM in a vaccuum, then yeah, they feel like a 15-ish team. Lots of issues. But when you look at the field, 8-ish is about right. Lots of issues everwhere.

will just make it sweeter to beat penn state in sad valley.
September 17th, 2017 at 2:49 PM ^
but only Wisconsin and PSU will really tell us about the ceiling for this team.
Also, we're basically 8th because of our preseason ranking. If you read the preseason preview appraisals of Michigan, you realize that the only reason we got that ranking is respect for Jim Harbaugh. We lost so much from last year that you can tell they would have put us more like into the low teens or 20s just based on what they see.

None of this matters if we keep winning. If we end the regular season 12-0, with every single win being ugly and unimpressive, we're still in the B1G title game. An ugly win there still puts us in the playoff. I'm not quite expecting it at this point, but if the O gets on track, this young team could be quite good in all facets of the game.

Per ESPN:
September 17th, 2017 at 3:19 PM ^
It doesn't matter if we're 8th, 15th or 25th at this point. Just keep winning, win the B1G and it will all sort itself out by season's end.
Clemson looks like the best team in the country right now.
Texas played really well last night. I think they would've given anyone fits. Their D did an excellent job of getting to the QB and stopping the run. Darnold generated some chunk plays but Texas rose up and kept them from scoring. I don't know if it's the level of the camera with respect to the field but it seems like every skill player on USC's offense has 4.4 speed. Their plays develop quickly, the ball comes out fast and with great velocity and those skill players catch and run extremely well. USC still deserves to be top 5. And Texas' QB played really well for being a true freshman in his first road start. Texas is a good team that's getting better by the week. I'd be astonished if they weren't in the top 15 by the end of the year.

We are dead last in all of P5 in red zone TDs.
8th is a gift.
A useless Yankee Candle gift that we will put in the drawer until we can re-gift it to somebody else, but a gift none the less.
