I say technically, as it is the right thing to do.

If I recall, they ruled that providing a homeless kid who had committed a place to stay until he was officially enrolled was an impermissable benefit. So they're probably not cool with this.

Right, wrong, indifferent. The NCAA will not even look at this. And I don't think they should, given the circumstances.

MSU have a chance against BG today?
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:52 AM ^
It's one of the two games on their schedule I feel like they should absolutely win. Their opener and the last game against Rutgers.
BGSU (should win)
Western (toss up)
ND (hilarious toss up)
Iowa (likely loss)
@Michigan (likely loss; would be very likely if it weren't for Dantonio's obsessive prep for us and not wanting to tempt fate)
@Minnesota (toss up lean loss)
Indiana (toss up, lean loss)
@Northwestern (likely loss)
PSU (very likely loss)
@OSU (very likely loss)
Maryland (toss up)
Rutgers (should win)
That honestly looks like 3-5 wins to me.

Your fourth to eighth friendly reminder that ND stunk last year too.

Yummy 4-8.

- BGSU: WIN
- WMU: Toss-Up
- ND: LOSS
- Iowa: LOSS
- Michigan: LOSS
- Minnesota: LOSS
- Indiana: LOSS
- Northwestern: LOSS
- PSU: LOSS
- OSU: LOSS
- Maryland: Toss-Up
- Rutgers: WIN (closer than the experts think)
Today is the only sure win on their schedule, IMO.
2-4...I'll say they repeat last year.

Jimbo Fisher is a much more likeable person than is Nick Saban. So I say 'go Free Shoes U'!!!

Slightly Less Evil Empire. I'll take the one that does not rep the SEC.

Don't get me wrong: GameDay isn't the same without "the coach." The ESPN article is awesome, and I'm glad they've found a way to keep him involved.

Hot takes from Corso and Pollack about SEC speed...Corso at least had a stroke.

I'd be curious to see a year-by-year breakdown of his winning percentages from the pick 'em portion of the show to determine if there has been a statistically significant dropoff after his stroke.

If there's anybody that's still defending the horrible maize jerseys -- congratulations. They're getting Desmond Howard laughed at.

When Evans is breaking ankles, Gary is sacking Franks and Speight is lobbing deep balls to Black.
Biggest reason I think we win is discipline. I think McElwain is a fine coach, yet I don't think a Harbaugh coached team will come out flat week 1. They don't have that in their DNA. Mid-year injuries, trap games later on, etc. are a different story, yet not game 1 like this.
Michigan and it's not even close.

Did all of you know speed is faster indoors?

I missed the beginning of the segment, so maybe it was clear in context, but the first three times I heard him say it, I thought "inside" was referring to the center of the defense. I was wondering how exactly the speed was going to help Florida against Mo Hurst.

Don't you know how many players Michigan lost to the NFL last year? I hear they're starting 7 walk-on freshmen and somebody's grandmother who found an extra year of eligibility in her attic.
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:14 AM ^
Yes, SEC speed, Florida team speed, etc etc etc three four five times already. Now I really just hope that Michigan can come out and put an epic beat down on Florida in a way that leaves no doubt.
Desmond with the comments around Michigan not getting complacent...I highly doubt Harbaugh lets them come into any game complacent.
I dont think that anyone is really looking at anything other than the 11 guys in the draft....couldnt have anyone else and hope they keep thinking that until about 4:30 today and the realization that maybe, just maybe the cupboards arent bare in AA.

September 2nd, 2017 at 10:35 AM ^
That's a fair analysis...just because we're Michigan fans and like Harbaugh doesn't mean he was wrong.
I just expect that Harbaugh WILL guard against the team being complacent.
