(1) Right click and copy the embed html of the video on youtube or whatever website you find it on, NOT the url.
(2) Switch to plain text editor and paste the embed html.
(3) *optional* For the love of all that is holy (general comment to everyone), change the dimensions of the video, where it says height and width (it's in pixel numbers...just reduce by 100-200 and it will be a tolerable size).. I'd like for it to not take up my entire screen. thankyouverymuch.

Click on the image tab, which is the far right icon right above the comment box.
For videos, click "plain text editor", then paste the youtube embed code.

Right click on the image and click "Copy Image location" (may be different for different browsers...I am using FireFox)
and then paste in the URL section of the image properties......dont forget to say "Abra Cadabra" when you click OK.

Gonna need to host it online before you can post it, there are plenty of free image hosts you can find using google.

If the image is on your computer, you have to upload it to the interwebz. http://imgur.com/ is a fairly easy way, although I don't know how long images live before they take them down. It could be forever or it could be just a few months. Then once you upload it, you should be able to find the image url by right clicking on the picture. That Image URL is what you paste in the "URL" blank when you click the little picture icon.

the image to a image hosting site first. Then you will be able to insert the URL from the hosting site into the bar on the image link.
Image shack is a good free one. Be advised, though, that once you do so, the image becomes available for public use.

Your image can't come directly from your computer..it must be hosted on a website where you can copy the URL and post it.
i use a flickr account.

ruin your day by asking for assistance and cluttering the side bar, getting in the way of all the quality "On Topic" posts you are looking forward to seeing over the next few days?
