Worst MSU team in a long time and we got bopped.

Why does every basketball team in the country have freshmen that contribute except Michigan?

We have no hope of beating athletic teams under our present coach who refuses to recruit (and has burned all bridges) in one of the best states for basketball talent.    I don't care if they find a top coach or promote the guy they brought in for defense this year, Mr. Belien, thank you for your services. Take your pile of money and go coach in the Ivy League where you belong.

agree.  We'll always have the championship game run and the elite 8.  Fun years to watch Wolverine basketball.  and a silver lining when football was imploding.  But now?  This is just too much.  He's gotta go.

at this point.  They can't win on the road, play weak defense most of the time, and they can't depend on getting consistent efforts from enough players, the worst being Irvin.   When you adjust for experience level and physical talent, he's had several of the worst individual performances this year in Michigan history.

Well, that sucked.

Bright side: we played like shit, got a crap whistle, and had a sorta shot late at Breslin.  Walton was aggressive for like the fourth straight game.  Wagner was pretty good when not plagued by fouls.

Bad side: we played like shit, hooooo boy

Ugly side: Irvin.  Yipes.  If he didn't have the flu or something...

I don't get the meltdowns? This was a desperate Msu team and I thought Michigan played well enough to win. The difference was Irvin. Just have to protect home court going forward and steal 1 or 2 on the road. The defense has been much better the last 4 games.

By compete in the top third you mean win the Big Ten and also make a national championship game between those, sure.

This is the third straight frustrating/disappointing season, definitely, but let's not understate Beilein's accomplishments to make a point.

Oh that's all? Just win all of the home games and win on the road, something that hasn't happened since last February. As for desperate, they both should be. 4-5 in the league is not where you want to be. So it's not as much about meltdowns as it is recognizing reality.

they were pretty bad in every facet of the game.  more TOs than sparty.  outrebounded by sparty.  sparty shot better from 3.  irvin had zero points and was horrible.  they hung close because sparty is not good.

this was a game UM could have stolen, if they did just one thing well other than making FTs.

I hate losing to MSU! Their defense was the difference. Wilson played tentatively going against Bridges. MSU has no size and we didn't take advantage of that enough. Have to beat them at chrysler, they've beaten us 5 in a row.
