Michigan at MSU MBB open thread
Time to beat MSU in their only good sport and make them a quidditch school.

True story, I once saw a 300 in Simi Valley where someone swapped the nameplate on the front and back for a Bentley. It was equal parts hilarious and genius. You just know that guy/girl was riding dirty.

Team is not consistent and never will be. I would still be surprised if Michigan made the tournament. Beilein needs to go.

Sparty isn't that good. And neither are we. The little sister chant....lol. You beat an average team by 5 who played like dog crap ....minus a couple players.
Looking forward to lots of ass kickings on the gridiron.

Foul trouble the whole game. Some of them dumb, some of them refs sucking.

Irvin a class guy, but his decision-making and basketball I.Q. is so low at this level. Plenty of talent for high school or complimentary B1G. As a go-to guy, he is a liability rather than an asset. Has a way of changing momentum, in a bad way, more often than not. Thanks for the effort, but you're not winning anything with him controlling decisions and play.
I would have thought coach could have taught him smart play, but evidently not.

complimentary Is your key word here. You could see it from day one. Guy would be a perfect third or fourth option with a. Few playmakers leading the charge ahead of him. He never had the alpha male game. Badly missing a Burke or Morris to set him up for open looks. Without that he's a fish out of water.

I think he could be a primary option if he knew when to pass, and why. There is not enough understanding upstairs.
He probably dominated physically in high school, and it never showed. I, for one, never saw it right away in his first two years, as it had less reason to show as a complimentary player.
Back problems hurt him some, but even that could be compensated for with heady play.
I agree with your comment 100%. Seems like JB could have instilled this in him to a degree, but there is never a consequence for boneheaded play, so it makes me wonder if it is even recognized, much less emphasized, by JB.
I got to believe he recognizes it, yet he does nothing about it.
Twenty to thirty minutes on the bench, used correctly, can be a marvelous teaching tool.
