Edit: For those who are having trouble accessing the previous thread, Aubrey was caught on another recruit's periscope saying "F*** Michigan" and expressing bitterness about the staff getting his name wrong (among other less than flattering comments).

For all we know, his parents may have forced him to write this apology.  Lot's of bad people are briefly contrite after they've gotten caught.  This is not to say that he is a bad person -- I wouldn't know.  I'm just saying that lots of horrible people apologize when caught and go on being horrible afterwards.  I think it will be interesting to see if JH drops his pursuit.  If we continue pursuing him, maybe that means he is not such a bad guy but just immature.  If we drop him, it probably means Jim H thinks he's a bad character.  Along those lines, I wonder if he has called Harbaugh and apologized to him.

I love the University of Michigan and everything it has to offer beyond football

Dude, you just said "fuck Michigan". Not sure Harbaugh will be very forgiving.

has never said fuck Michigan not even in his sleep, this will not sit well with him at all. His recruitment is over. Sucks but, I am willing to bet every team in college football has had something like this happen to them.

I believe he has not concidered Michigan again after his original decomittment and we were never going to be anything other than another hat on the table from that point forward. Good luck to him and lets get another DL front and center and not spend another second on him from this point forward. Go Blue!

OP, I'm going to assume you're being sly with the misspelling, but given the sensitivity of one Aubrey Solomon to incorrect spelling of his name... don't be a jerk.

For an 18 year old kid going under the microscope with numerous factions pulling and pushing you, mistakes happen.

Let's be honest, we have all done some really dumb things, probably during the however many years were spent in college.  My friends and I have said on multiple occasions how fortunate we are the digital photography didn’t exist when we were in school.  And having various social media channels where your stupidity is not only captured by digital video (much worse than still pictures) but can be broadcast to the world.  Let’s just say, many of us would be having a difficult time finding a job after college.

The biggest favor he could do for us and himself is to publically say:

"I have the greatest respect for the University of Michigan and the Michigan coaching staff, players, and fans.

That being said, I am no longer considering playing there and I will not keep stringing them along.  It would be for the best if we both moved on from here."

This so much.

The holier than though attitude among some of our fan base towards a teenager is beyond the pale.  He felt disrespected obviously - rightly or wrongly.  He was among peers.  People act like kids talk like angels.  He lashed out, talked smack.  This is Trump's so called "locker room talk".  He obviously is not coming here.

But that said 95% of those who simply CANNOT GET PAST THIS DISKRESPEKTFUL comment would embrace him instantly if he committed this afternoon and say "ACTIONS MEAN MORE THAN WORDS, HARBAUGH WILL FIX HIM.  LEARNING EXPERIENCE.  GOOD ON YOU BUDDY!!"

Son, it's time to just pick a school and move on with your life.  You don't need all this drama before you've ever even stepped foot on a campus.  It's not a good look.
