#17 and #22 are good for Sparty. They're usually not that high. They managed to have some good seasons with classes rated worse than that.

Remember that they didn't play Michigan five times every year. Dantonio has had them beating the mid-range Big Ten teams consistently ... until this year, of course.

Even if they roll sixes on their low-level recruits (as they've done in the past), they're going to have a hard time getting back to their peak in a much-improved conference.

Love the karma. Their asshole fans did this kind of shit to us over the pas 7-8 years or whatever. Payback is a mother fucker, Sparty fans. I hope they got reacquainted to having a losing football program.

The last week and the Harbaugh/Rams speculation has almost made me sorry for MSU fans. I mean, imagine if, "Jim Harbaugh isn't even a good coach, which is why the day is imminent that an NFL team offers him a contract he can't possibly turn down," were an argument you actually, seriously, tried to put forth.

Total asses... I get it, they were tired of being second fiddle in football for so long that when the sun came out they were not going to let us slide without berating us every chance they had. It's over your back to your perpetual losing recruiting Michigan, and it;s back to Cincinnati for Dantoni and his recruiting victories over the Bearcats.

but I'm not sold 1 bad season and some dismal recruiting is going to keep them down permanently yet.

Since 2010 they have won the big 10 3 times, beaten us 4 out of 6, beaten OSU & PSu numerous times, took Stanford (back when they were still Stanford) to the woodshed, and also made the playoffs.  

Now since that epic beatdown by Alabama they have absolutely stunk, so I think we owe Tuscaloosa a big fucking fruit basket for that soul-crushing defeat.

I agree that Harbaugh owning the state will keep them from becomming elite again, but they'll be dangerous as long as Dantollio is there and peddling hate.

I think we are all jumping the gun a little bit in saying Michigan own's State again.  We won this year, but that doesn't mean the next outing is going to be a cake walk.  State lives to play us, and will always be up for that game with Dantonio at the helm. 

 

Now maybe after we beat them the next 4 times out we can start to beat our chests and return to the little brother days....which I look forward too.  I enjoy wearing my Michigan shirt that says 'Maize is an arrogant shade of yellow'.
