They were playing a 3-7 MSU team in East Lansing in front of a crowd that was about 50% Buckeye fans and still not at capacity. No matter how much hooting and hollerin Urban did in the lockerroom, a 3-7 Big Ten team is a 3-7 Big Ten team. I'm sure they expected to win by 40

We both have had such inconsistent qb play and inconsistent play overall that i wouldnt be surprised by any outcome--low scoring, high scoring, close win, medium win, blowout win by either team.

The media said he struggled. I didn't see that in attendance (I missed the opening series) however,
- Butt dropped a gimme
- Darboh dropped a gimme
- Asiasi dropped a gimme
- Chesson probably got interfered with....but they didn't call any PI fouls on defense either.
- Okorn fit the ball dead into the tightest of windows (I think a Butt catch)
- Okorn was 2-3 feet ahead of Darboh on a bomb. Speight was off by 5 yards plus or minus (both circumstances actually) vs Iowa, before the injury on what I recall was 4 attempts to connect.
I'm not down on either QB but just saying Speight isn't a gimme win either. The OL vs Indiana let a lot of pressure in on the right side of the line, there were at least 3 incidents where Okorn rolled out right only to find 2 unblocked (got off blocks) D guys charging up the field....possibly due to blitzes also...I didn't focus on that part. He nearly made a spectacular play to Chesson to escape that but came up 1 yard short while running backwards. I don't buy the "huge dropoff from Speight to Okorn" in my mind, its probably a slight advantage Speight in not throwing interceptions.

Need to bruise and/or break JT's ribs. That's what is needed.

Feels like I missed something. Did someone suggest that M should attempt to injure opposing players?

I believe in the QB whisperer. On Saturday you are going to hear these words several times "this is not the O'Korn we saw last week."

Everyone and their mother in the sports media is predicting an OSU win. I think one our RB is going to go crazy, just like Touch Down Tim did in '95!

to go our way in order to win. Just being realistic. A few timely TO's and not letting O'Korn/Speight throw into the teeth of the OSU secondary because I think they've proven that they will pick it off given the slightest of chances.

I hate this whole playoff system already. WIth our wins, and the conference having 4 legit playoff contenders right now.... even with a close loss at OSU we're pretty much toast... and a lot of people are still thinking ohio state could snake in with a close loss.. so we have to win two hard-fought games in a row and they could potentially just lose and get in... or win, not have to play in the championship game because of losing to pedo-state, and get in by losing... while we could go to the championship game, lose to wisconsin and be 1-1 vs them on the season and be shut out of the playoff after knocking off ohio state... who could then still get in.
Excuse my redundancies, I'm still trying to wrap my head around ESPN spin on this whole thing.
Other conferences can barely find a single fucking team that is worthy of getting into the playoff, while other ones are cupcaking their way into the thing.
It's rather annoying to think a 2-loss michigan has 0 probability of getting in over a shittier 2-loss team from another conference... while a 2-loss OSU could possibly get in... or some 2 loss shit team with a weak ass SOS could ursurp us only because it would be a loss at the end of the season.
I'm assuming we win, though. Either way, beating wisconsin two times is going to be no small feat for anyone... and it's still bullshit if we go 1-1 with them and aren't the 2-loss playoff team.
8 team playoff, please, for my sanity. Don't let people in who don't play conference championship games. that's bullshit... "Have fun playing the best team in the other division of your conference (that you already beat one time) while we take a bye week and take your spot"
Serenity now.
win win win

a 10-2 Michigan would have 3...THREE top 9 wins including a win over the BIG champ (the toughest league in the nation this year) and potentially the Pac 12 Champ if its Colorado..That alone should make us a TOP 4 team

I know the weather was terrible, but unless he has a 180 degree turnaround, he is going to have serious trouble in the Horseshoe. He looked to be super indecisive with his reads, and showed some inaccuracy as well.
I'm not confident that Speight has a chance to play, but I suspect the staff will put him out there if he has any ability to play without risking further serious injury.
