WBB goes on 52-0 run in 108-41 rout, 100 pts in 3 straight games
Yes, you read that correctly.
After Michigan went down 6-0 to start the game, they went on a 52-0 run to take a 52-6 lead. It eventually got to a 64-13 lead.
The Wolverines led 84-25 after 3 quarters (women's game does 4 quarters instead of 2 halves).
Katelynn Flaherty had 24 points. She's an All-American candidate.
All-world freshman star Kysre Gondrezick had 22. She does not play like a freshman, at all. The hype about her is certainly justified. Incredible speed and ability to cut to the basket.
Michigan beat Howard 109-41, their third straight game of scoring 100 or more. That's only been done 14 times in program history, and 3 of them have come in the first 3 games of this young 2016-17 season.
Michigan (3-0) will host WMU next on Monday night at 7pm.

...from NIT every damn year to NCAA.
That said, WBB REALLY needs to lower the scholarship count number. The announcers touched on it a little yesterday during the men's game.
Go from 15 scholarships to 13 and give those 2 to another women's sport.
The "bad" in WBB is like a high school playing Alabama.

Always weird how lopsided WBB can be. It's not uncommon to see total demolitions like this and I don't really know why. It doesn't happen in men's basketball

There is a huge difference in number of elite high school girls & boys players. Recruiting makes a big difference too.

A team going 30+ posessions without a basket is pretty mind boggling.

The only disappointment is that the MGoBlue.com highlight reel is still using an extreme version of pore-o-vision, in which clips frequently end with nothing in view by the hoop & backboard. I'll never understand why they do that. Great game by the women, though - 52-0 is just unbelievable.

They let Howard score the first 6 points then go on a 52-0 run? I don't know, so I need to ask; does Connecticut do things like this?

here come the Lady Wolverines. There is no reason UM can't recruit/compete with the B1G first then the rest of the nation. Not winning the NC every other year is no reason they can't win the B1G first every other year then the NC every other year with the right coaching.

I haven't seen that since my sixth-grade team (and below) won 76-0. Against a team that decided to enter the league with all third-graders.
Cool story, bro'
