OT: Pokemon Go- have you played it?

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on
Although it's nowhere near popular as the original craze back when I was a little kid and hooked like every kid in America, this game is pretty popular. For better or worse, as accidents pile up.

I'm curious to see how many on here have or are actively playing it. I love it because I'm getting some needed exercise while playing.

I caught a Pikachu on I-75 on Saturday. I was in the passenger seat.

I was too old to get into the first wave of Pokemon when it came out, and my son who is 8 thinks this is stupid.  I really raised a smart kid.

Love it. Resisted for a day and watched my wife and 13 year old boy play. Started late passed them both already. Almost level 17. Gets all 3 of us out of the house walking all over everywhere together. We all took separate teams. Sadly I got stuck with Valor. I can't believe the droves of people playing up here. 99% are very helpful. Good Luck to all.

Of these Pokemon bufo's interferes with my A^2 Art Fair experience this weekend, I'll kill 'em. If any of these Poke-e-mos touches my prospective art purchase, I'll kill 'em. If these dirtbags trod through the long line I'm waiting in, I'll kill 'em ....

No. I used to play it way back in the day, but not a fan anymore.

When I hear about people playing this crap in Arlington Cemetery and the Holocaust Museum, it just infuriates me. I know that's not Nintendo's fault, but they ought to look into "no fly zones." In other words, some dipshit kid isn't able to try and catch Pokemon over the USS Arizona Memorial. Some places ought to just be off limits.

Am I the only person in my 20s that is more interested in girls than I am in stupid ass games that do nothing but waste your time?

In my mid/late 20's, already have a great MGoWife, also play Pokémon while I walk my dog. What's the problem? Is there not time for many things in life?

Well my 8 year old saw her father curse, scream and slug couch cushions after a certain botched punt last October, so far be it from me to poke fun at ones irrational interests.

But that play caused me to consider extirpating all maths, especially probabilites, and more. Once your little one appreciates the maths better, she will understand. There is nothing irrational about your reaction to the play. I personally transmitted my personal grid coordinates to V. Putin and invited nuclear attack. Dared him like a bullfighter trolling muleta, truth be told.

walked 5 miles with the mgowife tonight to hatch her eggs. I never played the card game or watched the shows, so we have no idea what we are doing. On one hand it's great to get kids up and out of the house. On the downside it's a major security violation - I got mgowife a burner phone and a fake Gmail to play on. Also, this gives pedophiles and traffickers an excuse to hang around kid friendly locations with their phone out... Seems bad?

HUH?  What makes you say that?  Pokemon Red/Green/Blue sold ~30million copies over the course of 10 years.

This game hit 30M+ downloads in less than two weeks and it hasn't even been launched in most countries yet.

I downloaded it, went through the tutorial, got a Bulbasaur, and deleted the game.

I thought there were men and women, cat people and dog people,  but now I realize there are Pokemon Go people and others.

I'm a male, dog person, and an other.

It is what it is.  Be safe and keep your eyes on the road if you're driving and up if you're walking.

I'm 30 and I'm totally secure playing it daily.

I started playing because I work in the mobile space but I stayed because it's an interesting game. Might be a fad but it's a cool game because you can't play at home by yourself. You have to move. The AR concept is here to stay-- more games and experiences will seek to blend into your life.

I also like the game because I hear about families playing it together and parents helping their kids to get out of the house into the 'real' world. You also have to walk a lot to get the eggs to hatch, and we all know kids need more exercise.

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail.
