OT- The most beautiful place in the world
So my Mom is from the East Coast and has been to a lot of places. The other day she told me she thought Arcadia Bluffs was the most beautiful place she had ever seen. What do you think? What is/ are the most beautiful places in the world? Places we should visit. (obvs, a full Big House after a nice win, but where else?)
they now think all americans are ugly white guys. which is accurate.
But Harbaugh was there first...
Outside Luganville, Vanuatu.

Atlantis on Ibiza, Spain. Most beautiful place I have ever been.
I really won't pick, can't pick. What I'll say is that beauty is everywhere, if you have eyes to see it. I've been fortunate to see and experience all the following, and too many more to mention.
- Mountains in Colorado.
- Copper Canyon in Mexico.
- Tide pools in California.
- Vineyard hills in Austria south of Vienna.
- Mountain lakes in Austrian Alps.
- Soraksan mountain in Korea.
- Alpine meadows in Montana.
- Redwoods and sequoia in California.
- Many of our National Parks.
- Coral reefs in Florida keys.
- Nichols Arboretum on a Spring day.
- Trees in western Michigan on a crisp sunny Fall day.
- Iguaza Waterfalls on border of Brazil and Argentina.
I hope I always have eyes to see and appreciate the beautiful world we live in. It is great to have a sense of awe and wonder at every day.
I saw the title of this post and my immediate reaction was to say Arcadia Bluffs, and now reading that is what your mom said, I agree. No other place I've visited left me absolutely speechless at how incredible it looked than standing just outside the clubhouse, on top of the hill, at Arcadia Bluffs. I tell anyone considering playing it to do so. I've played it twice, once in the early fall and once in the early spring and if you have the option, play it in the fall. The heather is golden (opposed to the green/purple, in the spring) and it is just incredible.

Africa - Namibia (specifically the rural roads between the Fish River Canyon and Sossusvlei)
Asia - Sri Lanka (Sigiriya, Adam's Peak, beaches of the southern coast)
Middle East - Oman (wadis, deserted coastlines)
Oceania/Pacific - Fatu Hiva, Marquesas
North America - Glacier National Park (among many, many others)
South America - Ciudad Perdida (Lost City), Colombia (objectively not as beautiful as Machu Picchu, but subjectively the solitude and sense of discovery at la Ciudad Perdida make it more beautiful)
Caribbean - San Blas Islands (Kuna Yala), Panama
City - Cape Town, South Africa
Skiing - Gulmarg, Kashmir
Left out Europe since I haven't seen enough of it to opine.
The two most beautiful places I have been to are Paradise Island and San Diego. Orange Beach, AL is also pretty.

I'm young and haven't been many places, but some of the best sites I've seen were on a trip to Colorado and Wyoming. Some of the most beautiful sites I've seen in my life.

Been to Alaska (Denali close #2) been to S. Pacific (best beach-y), West Coast US, Hawaii, Greece, MX, Peru and Central Europ -ornate architecture is crazy. But to get the mountain formations and the color of turquoise in the lakes you have to go for Patagonia and the area around Torres del Paine is unrivaled in that sense, IHMHO. The isle of Skye does look redonk though..
I second Murren and the Bernese Oberland (I stayed in Gimmelwald). Palawan, Philippines is up there for me too.
for me would be the Galapagos Islands....underwater. Diving there has spoiled me for life.

Also, I played Arcadia Bluffs GC a couple weeks ago. Shaved about 15 strokes off the other time I played it about 5 years ago. (Note that I'm not saying what either score was...)
