Spencer Hall's Michigan tattoo for EDSBS Charity Bowl 2015
Looks like Spencer finally paid his debt to get a Michigan-themed tattoo for last year's EDSBS Charity Bowl. Source
Don't get the My Neighbor Totoro connection, but maybe he had a similar deal with a bunch of Anime Otaku.
The Michigan Money Cannon takes no prisioners
Is that his thigh or shoulder? Either way, the dude could use a workout or two.
Hope it's not, considering the hair in the top right corner of the pic...

If it's a thigh, I'm worried about the hair in the upper right corner.
Eh, that's the norm for sports "journalists." A flabbier, pastier, and unathletic bunch of guys would be hard to find.
Gamers?

Probably my personal favorite Studio Ghibli, though Grave of Fireflies (released on the same day in 1988) is right there with it.
Grave of Fireflys was so damn depressing. I couldn't take it and decided that was the only time I'd watch it.
what you two are talking about
My kids really like Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, and the Secret World of Arriety. Spirited Away would be a little intense for them, I think. Grave of Fireflies is just sad, man. Maybe they could do Howl's Moving Castle. I'll have to rewatch that. Princess Mononoke is also a classic (but aren't they all?)
If they watch Howl's Moving Castle, just make sure it's the subtitled version and not the one with Billy Crystal playing the fire.
Princess Mononoke is a close second to me, behind Totoro.
I would love seeing a Miyazaki film or two at Top of the Park. Maybe one of these years they'll play one. And, yes, MNT would be my first choice.
I like it, and like the OP, I would be curious about what spawned the My Neighbor Totoro reference in it actually. Then again, you could take quite a few characters from the works of Hayao Miyazaki and make them work somehow, I would think, but kudos for taking it from one of his best and better-known creations (my opinion there, of course).
Totoro is okay. I'm partial to the sushi place next to the hardware store, which I don't know the real name of. It's just saved in my phone as "sushi place."
It's called Sushi Town. It's actually pretty decent sush and I went there a bunch of times in undergrad with friends.
there is no excuse for such a food.
We always just called it Sushi Hardware.
Michigan has been hard on Spencer so far this year. First, Michigan beats his Gators, then he gets them tattooed on himself.
That's amazing.

He should get a Block M on his forehead.
At least he didn't go with the split-M.
It's common practice to brand what you own.
The entire Florida football team has one of these.
Can we add the EDSBS Charity Bowl to the list of events counting toward the Director's Cup?
