Les rumblings getting loader and louder, now supposedly holding a "special team meeting"

one national title and a bunch of 2 loss seasons make someone a hall of famer in your mind?

And that does nothing to refute his point that 7 years of Les Miles would have been an extension of the Carr era rather than anything dramatically better
PS a 62 year old Lloyd Carr coming off a couple of down years was apparently cause for numerous automotive mileage based puns, not the stuff USC song girl dreams were made of.

Who exactly is an upgrade from LSU's perspective? He's got another great recruiting class next year.

Unless they can land Chip Kelly or Tom Herman, its going to be a flop of a decision.

No way Chip would leave ND to coach at LSU even with the Bayou Money FanBoat Cannon.

BUT THEY CAN'T HAVE HIM

You have to screw up pretty well to not have a good recruiting class in LA. LSU is the only school in a talent rich state. Sure the region picks off guys here and there, but for Les to not find a QB during the last 6 years has been his biggest screw up.

LSU fans are delusional if they think they deserve better than Les Miles. They are Nebraska South, except without Nebraska's arguable historical mandate. I hope they hire Bo Pelini and get five years of overheated, lughead fulminations that will make Les look elegant by comparison.

Steven Segal taught Les Miles how to coach

LSU is not in the top 100 schools for academics. Not surprising their fan base has no idea what's realistic.

Remember back when Tennesse was good? Before they got greedy and fired Fulmer because he could only win 10 games a year?
November 23rd, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
It is rampant and spreading.

I hate this argument. Fulmer went 5-6, 9-4, 10-4, and 5-7 his last four years. His recruiting had fallen off. They might have screwed up the hires after but Fulmer wasn't cutting it.
Just like people claim we ''ran off'' Lloyd. A. Lloyd didn't even want to coach in 2007 B. We lost to Appalachian State and Oregon at home C. We had lost 5 of 6 to OSU and OSU had won three straight Big Ten titles and a national title in 2002.

He's been on the outs it seems for a couple years now. That recruiting class is really loaded, though, so I wonder what will happen when Miles leaves.

It's time for Coach O to make his incoherent, sweaty, uncomfortable descent into the bayou.

If Miles doesn't want a HC gig anymore he will be on the UM staff next year.

to Harbaugh's ears.

are unrealistic. I was in the bayou for a game and they really expect to win the NC there every year. Not to be mean here but the campus is nothing special the school is average and Miles has done a great job there. He has a monster recruiting class for 2016 and quite frankly who could they get thats better that would coach there? There are some great schools right now looking for the next "it" coach and LSU would have to get in line. I think they are crazy down there, heat stroke or somethin.
November 23rd, 2015 at 12:28 PM ^
Les has 2 NCs and wins 75% of his games. They are nuts!
November 23rd, 2015 at 12:36 PM ^
He only has 1
November 23rd, 2015 at 2:55 PM ^
LSU cannot possibly be stupid enough to follow Nebraska down the rat hole and fire a winning quality head coach like Miles. Nebraska believed their own hype and now they are paying the price. If LSU is stupid enough enough to not understand Nebraska's self-wound they deserve to be regulated to backwater swamp staus. Not many schools have a good track record of immediate success in replacing a winning head coach.
