Sorry, West Coasters. I know some of you are still slaving away in the office, but it is time to drink. I have had a Great Lakes Oatmeal Stout amd Sam Adams Octoberfest. I will be, of course, having more delicious beer later.

Nikka Coffee Grain Whiskey. First time with a Japanese whiskey. It's damn tasty. Bought a bottle of Four Roses small batch as well.

It was a good week

My brother was recently working in Dublin (Ireland, not Ohio), and sent me a bottle of Writer's Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey. I know nothing about Irish whiskey, but according to what I read online - and especially according to the glass in my hand - this stuff seems like an excellent place to start learning. Slainte!

After the "how many days a week do you drink" thread that made me depressed about myself, I had zero drinks over the past 5 nights.

So I'm going to drink as many beers as my little belly can hold tonight. That's a healthy mentality, right?

Weller Special Reserve; 20-ish bucks.  Antique and the 12 year for a bit more.  Both are a bit hard to find due to Pappy-mania

Larceny..a bit more.

Sipping some Maker's Cask Strength; $60ish, but it's a pretty young bourbon, not a lot of oak influence (and am sippig now)

Parker's Heritage Promise of Hope or William Larue Weller for $200-$500
