Sorry, West Coasters. I know some of you are still slaving away in the office, but it is time to drink. I have had a Great Lakes Oatmeal Stout amd Sam Adams Octoberfest. I will be, of course, having more delicious beer later.

I picked up a sixer of New Belgium's Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale. It's a collaborative effort with Ben and Jerry's. If you like Fat Tire you'll like this. I taste little to no brownie or caramel....which is just fine as I don't like super sweet beer. I also would not repurchase though. Don't hate it, but don't love it. Cheers all!

I did not know there is a Sydney in Ohio, mate. I am from the real Sydney. I have the Great Lakes beer because a friend of mine lives in the Cleveland area. He came to visit me in NYC and brought me a 12-pack of the oatmeal stout. EDIT: I checked and the city in Ohio and it is spelled Sidney.

Nice. You here for the long haul? I've got some close friends in Sydney. Love to visit there some day. If you're going to live in an American city, NYC is the way to do it!

We have a helluva time keeping Blantons in... Also Jefferson Reserve good for you, we haven't been able to get that in but I hear its outstanding. My fav so far has been George T Stagg 18 year old. Hella expensive but so delicious. As far as something more common I'd suggest Elmer T Lee small batch or Basil Hayden's
