Stranded on Mars--any good places to watch the game?

Submitted by Clarence Boddicker on

I'm stranded on Mars--NASA is working like a rabid squirrel to get me back, but I'm thinking it won't be in time to watch the game. Anyone ever been to Mars and know a good bar here that'll be showing BTN?

I went to space camp when I was 10 or 11.  At the end you do a mock mission.  You have to push some buttons and read a script and they record it and - then - give you a VHS of your whole week, including the mission at the end.

One line in the script for my position was:  "We are receiving beutiful pictures of _________________ (pick favorite planet)."

Of course, throughout the week they told us the proper way to pronounce Uranus.  But, even at 10, I couldn't believe they served up such a softball.  I said Ur-anus.  It was the most baller thing I'd done in my life to date, but they cut it out of the video.

Yes, I know, CSB.

Hello fellow Martian. I have a party in my house and I have BTN. Jim Delaney is expanding to this market also. My house is on the corner of Jupiter and Saturn #1234567890. Bring Nachos please. See you tomorrow. Go Blue!

You can use potatoes and your own feces to create an electrical current which you can then use to power the MD-5423 standard issue personal antena.  Grab the red and green wires, twist them around a couple of times and plug them into the I/O-Lux (the little one the right bottom corner).  Point the antena towards Ann Arbor and you should be all set to go. Enjoy

be able to see the Big House from there. BTN might charge you a couple hundred bucks if you want to watch it on TV.

There used to be a nice spot in Arcadia, but they put a couple bucks into the place, cleaned it up and got rid of the sofas in the back.  Now it just seems a little too chic.  I miss the divey atmosphere.  You might want to try over on Pluto.  There's a spot that while it's a bit out of the way is really worth it.  Plus their selection is something of another world!

The Moon. Serving Michigan alumni on Earth and beyond since 1971. I'm sure they'll be beaming the game in. Take the lunar rover for a spin. Space bitches, space!

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere lately that the key is various forms of ASCII information. you should probably create a circular alphabet on flash cards, then you'll be able to replace values in a critical software program that will allow you to use a defunct machine to access a rudimentary chat system available only in pasadena. but beware that when you think you've finally decoded the info and are about to get a picture of the game, it's actually probably another ASCII file detailing the end-around play.

Better be careful. You don't want to disrespect Dantonio's intergalactic recruiting while you're out there.

He's got Mars on lockdown, and I hear that Cotton Bowl win is letting him break into Jupiter territory.

I don't know about Mars, but I'm trapped in Dantonio's basement, it's not even a finished basement.  You'd think he'd be able to afford that.  Anyway, where in Dantonio's basement can I watch the game?  Anyone?

According to Alex Karras this is your most famous grad:

Monday Night Football. Karras indroduces Otis Sistruck out of the University of Mars.

The cameras caught steam emanating from Sistrunk’s bald head. Analyst Alex Karras, seeing the image and knowing that Sistrunk was the only active NFL player who had not played in college, quipped that Sistrunk was from the University of Mars.
