Good morning... I'm at the game. ROLL CALL

Submitted by buddhafrog on

Are you going or are you there?

Virtual check-in.  I'm so pumped.

I've been living in Korea for eight years so this is my first game since then. And my teenage son's first game since he was a little kid. And with my dad (who was a teacher at Tappen Middle School and got beat by Harbaugh in the students vs. teachers basketball game by - I kid you not - Jim Harbaugh who sank two free throws with one second left to beat those teachers by one point! That's our coach, who yelled for all to hear while he was wating at the free throw line and the teachers were waiting on the bench during a timeout trying to ice him: "Hurry up, I have a game to win!" I kid you not).

Three generations representing UM on this beautiful fall afternoon in lovely Maryland. Did I mention that we are pumped?

ROLL CALL - Go Blue!

Loved the story about Tappan.  My wife also went to Tappan (and Pioneer) around the same time.  (She was in the same class as John Harbaugh, two years ahead of Jim.)

So, my wife is curious who your dad, the former Tappan teacher is.  Mind sharing?

Red 5 standing by. I have to wonder if this could be the smallest crowd to ever watch a Michigan football game, due to Marylands implosion, the weather, and the last minute time change. Doesn't make any difference to me, it's a great day to be a Michigan fan!

I'll be there in section 308 for my first Michigan game in seven years and first ever road game. I might sound like the worst fan ever, but my buddy bailed because he and his wife are having a baby. Terrible timing. Go Blue!

OMG Michigan fans all around. 75% if tailgates are UM and same for fans at this time. MD enters the field to moderate silence. UM enters to loud cheers. This will be fun!

Ive loved this story that my dad has been telling me since Harbaugh came to Michigan. Teachers had a 1-and-1 free throw and all the teachers were saying "don't foul." My dad then describes how after missing the first free throw the short chubby science teacher who barely played bull-dozed one of the students while trying to get a rebound. He said it was such an obvious foul and all the teachers were angry.
