OT: Where Are You?
Oftentimes while reading this blog I notice in the comments people mention where they are presently located in the world. I always (wrongly) imagine that all of the readers are in Michigan, but I am always amazed as to the quantity and diversity of readers' locations. So, out of curiosity, where are you presently located in the world?
I, for one, am currently in the D. How about the rest of you?
I haven't been there for games. I was a weekly PBBG attendee until they stopped being our official bar. Johnny V's took over a year or two ago, and I went there for a while, but between their kinda crappy food and the ever-dying crowd the last couple seasons, I kinda stopped. Since then, I've been going to the Patio in Mission Hills, which while not an "official" Michigan bar, is owned by a Michigan Alum and usually has a few people there; the crowd just doesn't get hype though (a problem at Johnny's V's as well, but I blame last year's on field product for that), so I'd like to find somewhere with the enthusiasm that used to be at PBBG.
Seeing some of the extra footage from that, it's lucky they ever got a usable take of "a whale's vagina". Between Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate they showed about ten takes where one or the other couldn't keep it together, and I'm sure there were a ton more.
I live next door to Ron Burgundy.
That's been on my list of places to check out. Is that place pretty good?..must be, if Ron likes it.
Favorite city in Italy! Amazing restaurants, even considering it's in Italy...

entire post, from the avatar picture to the content is very disturbing to me.
He's a Phillies fan who intentionally vomited on a cop's kid at a game. Not helping with the post directly upthread.
Seriously.

I am surprised at how clean your grammar and punctuation useage is as an 8th grader. My daughter is in 8th grade and she types primarily in emoticons and "can I haz food" etc.
do you like gladiator movies?
If you get a chance, watch the movie Airplane!
And then Seven Samurai, just because it's an amazing movie.
I'm also in Omaha.
Omaha as well. Currently in a PhD program at UNO.

Just west of Chicago
This week, I'm in my office in the NW suburbs of Chicago. Next week, I'll be in Oregon, and the two weeks after that in Kansas. After that, probably DC, and then Toronto, then back to Kansas.
As someone who lives in Kansas, that looks like the worst location on your list. I have fun in the big city of Wichita though.
I'll actually be in Wichita! Just day trips the next two times, though, so no opportunities to find good food. Threw me off last time I was there when they changed the airport name.
I usually stay downtown when I'm there - have been at the Ambassador and Hyatt. Have eaten in Old Town (Larkspur was nice, a couple of other joints were meh, wanted to try Public, but closed when we tried it), Cafe Bel Ami (down the street from the Ambassador, decent french bistro), and the hotel restaurant at the Hyatt, which was quite good, if somewhat overpriced.
Favorite coffee is Espresso-to-go-go. Great espresso, and dude knows what he's doing. Disco ball at 7am is a little disorienting, though!
That desk sucked.
Mountain View, CA to be precise.
