OT: One Condiment, Forever
Everything I eat is a vehicle for condiments. Thus, I was presented a real conundrum last night at dinner: if I had to live the rest of my life and only had one condiment to use, which would I choose?
Please be as specific as possible instead of categorical (i.e. saying Frank's instead of hot sauce). "Condiments" by nature is is pretty broad, but for the fun of it we can include dressings, dips, things that can be squeezed, ladeled, spooned, etc.
Putting that junk on a ribeye is a crime.
because they get them cooked well done and then there is no more flavor.... which is also crime
think of Windex, it tastes just like Windex smells...not that great...
Tony's beat Old Bay for me. Great on everything from seafood to burgurs to duck. MMMM skillet fried mallard breast with Tony's; I can't wait for duck season.
I will now try this. Looks tempting, especially slathered on mallard breasts.
Sam's BBQ sauce.
Should we ask Aaron Hernandez? I heard they only get one condiment in prison.
Frumunda
Chick-fil-a sauce
Yeah my mind was pretty blown the first time I tried Chick-fil-a sauce. It's like a whole new flavor.
Salt
Wait...Shit aint coming salted?

I've got a condiment for OP's mum
what is it?!
If I told you, your mum would want it, too.
She's dead.
It's called Man Ranch.
Gentlemen's relish, not to be confused with Patum Peperium.

I came and left satisfied.
Have to be BBQ sauce, probably Sweet Baby Ray's. While there are certianly better BBQ sauces there, if I'm only having one condiment the rest of my life, I think this provides the best combinations of versatility and quality.
there's a surprising bargain-level Canadian sauce thats similar, but I think is much better.
No Limits or Sans Limites I should say. So far, customs hasn't limited me in bringing a case home from vacation every summer.
If you're picking BBQ sauce, there are so many better options. Rays is just so damn thick.
Rufus Teague's - served this (Touch o' Heat) with pulled pork sammies, was best I've had from a bottle.
Cholula.
Boom - absolutely. I think I would leave my wife for Senorita Cholula on that bottle. Hate to appropriate a slogan from a rival, but, I put that shit on everything.
Tobasco
Yum Yum Sauce. I haven't found anything that it is not good on yet.
if I had a nickel . . .
Mayo.
It's classic. It goes on anything needing a condiment. Also, you can add things to it to spruce it up a bit.
