Are you calling Mike Hart one of the most unliked Michigan players? My apologies if I'm misunderstanding but there's no way that's true. He's easily the best back we have had this century (senior version of Perry has an argument but that was only one year).

It was funny and true at the time.  You might want to look at that App State game for a beginning or the death of Bo or the hiring of RR, second bad hire added to the previous hires death roll.

Hart was the man at Michigan.  Hart had alot of wanto in him, some may call it heart.  If he is hated it isn't by people who watched him play.

  1. 0-4 against OSU
  2. Harbaugh comments
  3. "Little Brother"

...almost anytime he speaks you get a myriad of posters telling him to shut up. Anytime "little brother" is mentioned...Mike Hart is bashed over and over.

He absolutely is on that list.

He's always judged off of a couple of comments he made in COLLEGE. Even today.

Makes no sense, but people continue to go at the guy.

Sorry... but it's Dantonio whom made Little Brother what it is.  Seriously... Mike Hart was just joking around with a reporter.  Dantonio is the one who got all butt hurt about the "pride before the fall".  Dantonio is a scumbag -- even as a person; how the hell is Dantonio suddenly the voice of reason or something?  Since when do coaches address what other players say?  If Dantonio just lets it slide, Little Brother wouldn't have the cachet it has today.

gotta love the arrogance of Michigan fans who read an article on smart football and now think they are expert

picture this, DetroitBlue -- Devin Gardner recceives the snap and takes a deep drop... 3, 5 ,7 steps back into Michigan's veritable fortress of a pocket. Michigan's vaunted offensive line, led by all-star players like undersized Jack Miller and walk-on Graham Glasgow and true freshman Mason Cole, redirects the pass rush away from Gardner with ease. Gardner, calm and collected, icewater coursing through his veins, steps into a bullet which he lets fly downfield to leaping super-athlete Devin Funchess who despite his ankle injury sustained in week 2 easily beats his one-on-one coverage and despite his problems catchingt he football easily snags the ball for a TD! The band plays 'The Victors'

Now, can anybody tell me what's wrong with that picture?

There's a rather large difference between thinking I know more about football than the previous staff (which I don't and never claimed to), and realizing that they were a sub-par staff led by a guy who was in way over his head.
If they were so smart and such great coaches, why have almost none of them landed good jobs since being fired?

Really wish he would've come back another year, but when someone's telling you that you can go make millions right now, its hard to want to wait around another year for that.

His game certainly has some flaws right now, but I hope he can get them corrected when he lands in the NFL. Hope to see him have a lot of success on Sundays.

Growing up in Minnesota, I remember Anthony Carter to be a pretty awesome wide receiver. There were a couple years ('87-89) that he was considered maybe the 2nd best receiver behind Jerry Rice.

It's almost like he is an elite athlete with the physical tools to dominate college corners.  I'm starting to think the coaching staff had him and Dileo confused.

Lots of WRs have this type of athleticism, but he's still a physically-imposing WR who can take advantage of his physical gifts at times.  He probably won't be a star in the NFL, but he was absolutely misused here at UM.

THATS why Nuss threw him so many bubble screans, huh!!!!

The sad thing is that he could have lived up to the #1 jersey if he would have been properly utilized. Couldnt be happier Nuss is gone!

I'd love to see the number of times a fade route was thrown to Funchess inside the red zone over the last 2 years.   I am gonna go out on a limb and say then number is under 5.   And considering the height and reach advantage he had over most corners covering him, that seems a bit inexcusable.
