Your Unpopular Movie Opinions
Since this is today's theme, I've always had a very unpopular view of a certain movie, and would love to hear other's opinions based off of movies and/or actors. Mine: I think Wedding Crashers is a terrible movie, and not funny.

I have no desire to meet any actors or actresses.

Watchmen was really good.

I actually liked the ending better than the comic in terms of realism.
The comic is still better overall though.
Also, unpopular opinion...movies can definitely be better than the books they are based on. See the Bourne series.

Diggstown is another example.

I'm really looking forward to the all female Ghostbusters movie. Not a fan of Melissa McCarthy, but Kate McKinnon (on SNL) is the funniest person you may not have heard of.

What about Antz?

He's definitely had some clunkers, but I've enjoyed some of his movies. "Annie Hall" is probably my favorite. But there's no doubt he's a creepy old man.

The Big Lebowski is pretty damn overrated. It's got a good quotability factor, but it's otherwise a disjointed mess of a plot and uninteresting characters.

500 Days of Summer put a lot of things in perspective for me and I bet it did for a lot other young guys too. It's the guys' version of a chick flick.

Whoa. You are missing out. But to each their own.
I've never seen "The Wizard of Oz." Never.

I'm with you. I could never understand why I should care about characters who were the scum of society. I mean, these slugs are murderers, thieves, pimps, loan sharks, drug dealers, etc. Why the hell should I give two shits about these people - just because they dress well and dance the tarantella?
I told all that to a friend who's a big Godfather fan, and he understood my point of view. To him, the fascination of the story was the devolution of a good man, Michael, once he is forced to join the family business - the business so foul that even his own father, the head of the crime family, didn't want for him. In doing so, Michael changes from a good man to evil incarnate. To my friend, it was like a Greek tragedy with a 1940's wardrobe.
I thought that was a pretty fair explanation. I still don't love it, but I can watch it with different eyes. And plus, some of the dialogue is just fun. ("Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.")

I know it's not movies but I never understood all the love for Breaking Bad. For so long, It was all anyone ever talked about.
Then I binge-watched the entire series on netflix... I get it now. Great show.

I caught the first two episodes. I like it. But it's a lot like Breaking Bad in so many ways.

The quirkiness of Wes Anderson has run it's course.
And I loved Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore.

I'm not a huge Wes Anderson fan. Not really a fan of his at all.
But I liked Grand Budapest Hotel. It had a lot of great, dry humor and Ralph Fiennes was hilarious.
