Shannon Turley (Stanford S&C coach) is the name that really jumped out at me from the list, after he received national attention for how he revolutionized Stanford's S&C program and cut ting the frequency of injuries by 85% (including the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/31/sports/ncaafootball/stanfords-distinc…).

Since we seem to lose two or three guys per year to ACL tears alone, it would be interesting to see what effect he might have here.

I am thinking that he would run an offense similar to what his dad, Gary Moeller, ran as Head Coach, and Gary, at one time or another, coached all over the field.

Bo in his later years, did open the offense a little bit, with Mo as the O.C.  but it wasn't until Mo took over as the H.C., that it really flourished, for he ran a diverse, unpredictable offense that could both run and pass, and he also mixed in a few flea flickers from time to time, and I.M.H.O. that is what we need now.

I've heard we've also upped the ante for assistant pay.  Anybody know any details?  Can we pay the assistants that we want what we need to get them?

I want Wheatey at OC, Durkin at DC (Or if he stays Durkin/Mattison can be co-DCs), I want Manning kept on, Hecklinski kept on, Mike Hart brought in to be the RB coach and aside from that I don't care.

Unless Hart makes some serious amends with Harbaugh, I doubt Hart would ever even sniff being on Harbaugh's staff.

I think after Harbaugh's academic comments in 2007, Hart said something to the effect of wishing he'd never played for Michigan, and that Harbaugh was never a "true Michigan Man."

Weird not to see some of the more obvious candidates names...

Saban or Harbaugh (John) for DC...

Belichick or RichRod for OC...

Dantonio for assistant special teams coach

Glad we are trying to get away from the Michigan Man theme. Wouldn't mind the only one with Michigan connections be Harbaugh. Maybe keep Manning around for recruiting and move him to LB coach. Need to bring in the best coaches for the jobs - not just a 90's Michigan dream team.
