and the "If it ain't broke, break it!" mentality.

The jury's out on Hackett overall, but this is a big plus in his column for me.

If this is a serious question, he was the Chief Marketing Officer.  Was hired from the Knicks I believe by Brandon, and is one of the driving forces of the 'RAWK MUSIC' type branding and marketing UM had seen under Brandon.  Glad to see him go.

It's funny because I thought the athletic department needed a lot of change after torpedoing RichRod, but man, I didn't see the drastic changes under Brandon coming.  Hopefully it finds itself a nice middle ground of embracing the changing culture of college atheltics and the fanbase while also integrating its own traditions and history into it.  Tough job, I know, but they get paid a lot of money to make it work.

Who's going to support me? Having an mgoblogger in that position (should it still exist) would be most excellent for the fan base.

Let's do this.

- 12 years in marketing
- 8 years in creative management
- 5 years in agency leadership

Adherence to brand culture a strength. Story-telling for real human connection; not sparkles for the sake of whatever.

Was the guy really the devil incarnate? He was doing the job he was hired to do, no? Is there any evidence that he purposefully went out to hurt the school? If so, then the hate on here would be justified so please update me if this guy really went out of his way to destroy the football program instead of just doing the job he was hired to do.
