Brandon, meanwhile, focused upon maximizing the sales of an ordinary product at Dominos. (But Brandon did try to charge extraordinary prices at Michigan.)

Dominos is poo. The fact that Brandon could get people to pay for it shows how good a marketer he is. You bring in a poo marketer you are likely to market poo as well.

and the "If it ain't broke, break it!" mentality.
The jury's out on Hackett overall, but this is a big plus in his column for me.

If this is a serious question, he was the Chief Marketing Officer. Was hired from the Knicks I believe by Brandon, and is one of the driving forces of the 'RAWK MUSIC' type branding and marketing UM had seen under Brandon. Glad to see him go.
It's funny because I thought the athletic department needed a lot of change after torpedoing RichRod, but man, I didn't see the drastic changes under Brandon coming. Hopefully it finds itself a nice middle ground of embracing the changing culture of college atheltics and the fanbase while also integrating its own traditions and history into it. Tough job, I know, but they get paid a lot of money to make it work.

With his mentality, there was no choice but for him to go.
Massive culture change happening...I love it.

IIRC, Lochmann was college athletics' first true Chief Marketing Officer. Have any been hired since? Or was this a Brandon-only idea?
December 17th, 2014 at 9:37 AM ^
The de-Brandoning continues. Good stuff. Good luck persuing other opportunities elsewhere Mr. Lochmann. May I never see your style of marketing again at UM.

Nice term.
Don Canham, a pioneer of college sports marketing, understood that Bo's success was a prerequisite of his own marketing success.

He was hired by Brandon in 2010 as Chief Marketing Officer. It's another step in changing the corporate culture started by Brandon.

Was the guy really the devil incarnate? He was doing the job he was hired to do, no? Is there any evidence that he purposefully went out to hurt the school? If so, then the hate on here would be justified so please update me if this guy really went out of his way to destroy the football program instead of just doing the job he was hired to do.

It now makes sense why attendance was down this year. I didn't know the guy was rounding up fans and burning them in university boiler to make sure the dorms kept warm this fall! Thanks for enlightening me with your very rational logic.

Hunter Lochmann is a marketing douche bag, but I don't equate him to being a Nazi.
Maybe part of the Khmer Rouge, but he's not a Nazi. Now, if he wore pieces of flair, then yes, I would agree with your post.
Before people get all pissed, this post is all sorts of sarcastic.
