Good to see Kings playing. He is a playmaker.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:46 PM ^
Well, this one is over. Anything else on?
August 29th, 2014 at 7:46 PM ^
Ok that finishes it off. Good game JSU.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:46 PM ^
LOL... might want to cover him JSU.

JSU's defense blows.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:47 PM ^
Both the corner and safety on that side blitzed together.. lol.

It makes me a little sad that BYU is handling UConn. Also MSU's defense still seems very scary and at this rate Connor Cook will have 10 completions for 9 TDs.

Uuuuuh, I think there's a little more to it than Ed Martin.

It's one game vs JSU, you can't take anything away from this game. Now next week they travel to Oregon, and I would bet my life savings they don't look this impressive next week.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
State might be vulnerable to like... literally just four verts.
But J'ville State's secondary is... poor.

The most exciting part of the night will be seeing Houston's stadium.
They should be playing at the Astrodome. I mean, why waste money when you have a state-of-the-art facility already in Houston?
August 29th, 2014 at 7:53 PM ^
This game is good a good prep for Sparty for next week. That will be an interesting game.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:56 PM ^
Oh and the game is at Autzen. It's crown can bedevil an opponent.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:23 PM ^
Still can't hurt to get some real game experience against an option offense with speedy players to get tuned up. Also, Autzen is tough but it's not like a team that plays with MSU's style (ala Stanford) hans't been successful there.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:45 PM ^
Nothing about this game is helping MSU prepare for Oregon. JSU defenders are simply not covering the receivers, and their QB is throwing the ball right to the secondary.

That pass thrown by the JSU qb was probably the worst decision I've ever seen. Threw it directly at Drummond.

Jesus #99, get a jersey that can fit at least 3/4 of your stomach.

Biff.
August 29th, 2014 at 7:58 PM ^
Probably shouldn't be kicking FG's next weekend anyways.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:02 PM ^
Damn, that JSU screen was going to go for a long way.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:03 PM ^
Man JState has had some solid play calls, their guys just can't execute. Lot's of open guys but nearly all have been dropped! If Sparty plays like this vs Oregon next week they're gonna get destroyed.

August 29th, 2014 at 8:07 PM ^
Just straight balling on JSU right now. The Oregon match up will be a good one.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:08 PM ^
... it appears that MSU alumni association of Seattle has decided to watch their football games at the bar across the street from my house.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:09 PM ^
Crazy nice touch on that TD fade. And that receiver was a walk-on.
MSU looking excellent. Good for the conference, I guess.
That E Lansing game, if it wasn't before, is definitely looking like the toughest one on our schedule now.

Beating a D2 team with a new coach is not impressive.

Make a fucking play on the ball dude. SMH
August 29th, 2014 at 8:12 PM ^
They're talking about how MSU still has a chip on their shoulder even though they finished 3rd in the national polls last year. Think I'm gonna have to mute this.

The world has no shortage of things to take umbrage to.

This JSU QB is truly awful. It's not like he's getting heavily pressured, either.
August 29th, 2014 at 8:17 PM ^
Some good news
70-yard touchdown right up the gut for Mike Weber. Showed off some serious wheels when he finally got a crease to hit.

Boeheim going for the stall.
But seriously folks, 'Nova ran drive for about six minutes to start, held 'Cuse on three downs and then ran into the punter for a penalty that gave 'Cuse the chance to get a 65-yard TD run by grad student Prince-Tyson Gulley.
'Nova dominating time of possession, but had a pass dropped in the red zone and missed a field goal from about the 34.
Will see whether 'Cuse draws more fans for football vs. 'Nova than it does for hoops vs. 'Nova. Playing the game indoors. When it's 72 outdoors, the dome can feel like a sauna. Despite the name, the Carrier Dome has no air conditioning.
Al Groh (NY Jets head coach between Bill Parcells and Herman Edwards) is the analyst. Jets Fans: Rich Kotite was not available.

I've seen a lot of blatant penalties, notably Hicks pushing that WR off his route and then getting the pick
August 29th, 2014 at 8:22 PM ^
That was a pretty sweet run by Hill
