Odd response
January 16th, 2024 at 9:38 PM ^
Not a single melanocyte in that crowd!
January 16th, 2024 at 10:36 PM ^
But lots of adipocytes. Particularly around the gluteal region.
January 17th, 2024 at 9:37 AM ^
Lots of ladies sitting like ladies in that photo
January 16th, 2024 at 8:07 PM ^
Bama will regress to the mean
January 16th, 2024 at 8:16 PM ^
I want to be the guy who replaced the guy who followed a legend.
January 16th, 2024 at 9:08 PM ^
Bill Curry, Lloyd Carr, Willie Taggart, Bill Callahan, John Cooper, James Franklin...
Kind of a mixed bag
January 16th, 2024 at 9:41 PM ^
Nitpicking: Lloyd did not replace Bo. Gary Moeller did. I loved that guy’s play calling, general approach, and teams. But the reports of what he did make no doubt he should have been fired, despite what Bo might have done. Sad chapter. Get help with your addictions folks. RIP Gary Moeller.
January 16th, 2024 at 11:36 PM ^
Right, was naming coaches who replaced coaches who replaced legends
January 16th, 2024 at 9:54 PM ^
More nitpicking…Franklin replaced Bill O’Brian, not Paterno. Cooper replaced Earle Bruce, not Woody. Bill Curry replaced Ray Perkins not Bear Bryant.
Sorry.
January 16th, 2024 at 9:59 PM ^
They replaced the guy who replaced the guy…that was his whole point!
January 16th, 2024 at 11:16 PM ^
They replaced the guy who replaced the guy. But that was not his point, unless you try to read into that response.
January 16th, 2024 at 11:37 PM ^
I picked a bunch of random coaches I guess
January 16th, 2024 at 11:44 PM ^
Given that you responded to Robbie Moore, and then Robbie Moore "nitpicked" you, I would say Robbie Moore was making one point, and you were making a different point.
Robbie Moore was making the point (indirectly) that it's better to be the guy who replaces the guy who replaces the guy because you have a better chance of making it. If you're just the guy who replaces the guy, you're going to crash and burn (unless your name is Jimbo Fisher and then you crash and burn after you succeed).
The point you were making is being the guy who replaces the guy who replaces the guy is no guarantee for success, but that's not contradictory to Robbie Moore's point.

Now write it 100 times.

What exactly is the mean for a program like Bama?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:31 PM ^
Whatever it is, it is way below what they've been experiencing the last 20 uears.
January 16th, 2024 at 10:10 PM ^
I am googling uears.
January 16th, 2024 at 10:37 PM ^
It's just like an earth year, but it feels so much longer because you are working under Saban.
January 17th, 2024 at 7:05 AM ^
...from Uranus?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:40 PM ^
Still much better than most
January 16th, 2024 at 9:25 PM ^
9.686657 wins a season??? (994 wins/1334 games) * (12 game season + 1 non playoff bowl?) but who's counting?

January 16th, 2024 at 9:29 PM ^
Bama has 965 wins. We'll be the only program with 1000+ wins for a few more years.

January 16th, 2024 at 10:05 PM ^
but who's counting?
Snarling Wolverine is! I gave them credit for their vacated games maybe, but appreciate the correction. On average 8-4 with also ran bowls. Close enough if you are being mean.
January 16th, 2024 at 9:00 PM ^
Hopefully it means that they will fall further behind Michigan as we lead in the Total Wins race.
First to 1,000
First to MI

Something from MDen?
January 16th, 2024 at 11:47 PM ^
Nah, that won’t ship until end of the month, just like everything else from MDen (*shakes fist*)
January 17th, 2024 at 12:39 AM ^
What's the mean for Alabama is a good question. They've been blessed with 2 legendary coaches, Bryant and Saban. During the tenure of those 2 coaches they were pretty much an annual contender for the national title. In the close to 30 years between Bryant and Saban, they had decent to good teams but weren't contending very often for national titles. They did win a national title in the early 90s under Gene Stallings.
January 17th, 2024 at 12:09 PM ^
I'd be fine if they regressed to a Stallings level of play.
What has happened during the Saban era is disgusting and has been terrible for the entire sport of college football.
January 16th, 2024 at 8:10 PM ^
Not worried about 'bama!!!
January 16th, 2024 at 8:33 PM ^
Might you say that you don't give a piss about the Tide?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:35 PM ^
Even more than that, I don't give a piss about nothin but the Tiiiiiiiiiiide
January 16th, 2024 at 8:10 PM ^
Duplicate, how'd that happen?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:10 PM ^
Triplicate...how'd that happen?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:26 PM ^
Triple post is child's play.
January 16th, 2024 at 8:10 PM ^
what are we ranking ?
January 16th, 2024 at 8:31 PM ^
Job desirability
January 16th, 2024 at 11:50 PM ^
"the Alabama job post Saban"
It's in my first sentence.
January 16th, 2024 at 8:11 PM ^
Racer X >>> Speed Racer. In my humble opinion the bear made this whatever it is.
January 16th, 2024 at 8:12 PM ^
I remember Alabama before the Saban years and I recall feeling bad for them...
I wish OSU could suffer and suffer and suffer through horrid horrific seasons.
January 16th, 2024 at 8:13 PM ^
They already are, aren't they?
0 - 3 vs Michigan!!!
January 16th, 2024 at 8:45 PM ^
It’s been a long time since they had a few 4 and 5 loss seasons sprinkled together.
January 16th, 2024 at 9:06 PM ^
I want to see Ohio State drop games to the unranked MSUs and Illinoises of the world
January 16th, 2024 at 9:32 PM ^
OSU went 33-6 the last three years. Yeah, they lost to us, but is that enough to call it suffering?
January 16th, 2024 at 9:46 PM ^
God I hope so
January 16th, 2024 at 10:25 PM ^
So you want annual 11-2 seasons to be "rock bottom" for them?
I think they could stand to get a LOT worse.
January 16th, 2024 at 11:05 PM ^
Oh, I definitely don't want this to be rock bottom for them. I just want them to suffer and feel miserable for about a decade. I hope it gets much worse before it gets better
January 17th, 2024 at 10:06 AM ^
Once Day leaves (fired or “retired”), they’ll either undergo their own RR type downfall OR end up with a winning lottery ticket again like Tressel was for them. I somehow doubt they’ll end up anywhere in between and be on any sort of semi-equal footing with Michigan as far as rivalry success goes.
January 16th, 2024 at 10:09 PM ^
Their fans are miserable so yes they are suffering. It's great to see.
