Ea sports NCAA Football Video Game Is One Step Closer
Didn’t see this posted. Im sorry if the link doesn’t work.
I can’t wait to make this game part of my life again. Something about recruiting and getting that hidden gem out of Nowhere Virginia that becomes a star or getting a 5 star out of Columbus and winning repeated NC’s. What I do in this game Will feel very realistic to our current team. 15ish years ago, it was a pipe dream for what I was doing to be played out in real life.
Last point… teenage boys need this badly, many of them dont know what a fight song is, who Iowas head coach is or even the mascot/nickname for the majority of P5 Teams.

"I can't wait to make this game part of my life again."
I have never agreed so hard. Until it's out, we'll have to make do with watching Harbaugh find a 6'4'' 240lb ATH to turn into a focal point of the offense in real life.

After we win the National Championship, JJ can be on the cover with Denard to announce the new age of the best sports game out there.

Yesssss! Pumped for EA again to come back out with CFB. In the meantime there’s been an app on phones called retro bowl college that might be keep ya peaked until this comes out.

Are the in app purchases needed to have fun or is the free version decent enough?

100% free. You’d only want to pay for the appreciation that the devs did. Its very basic so dont expect too much intricacies. But you have to balance offense vs defense, academics vs playing time and leveling players up. I started off as south Florida and now got my opening for the good guys.

please have multiple playoff formats. Let me choose between pre BCS, BCS, 4 team, 8, 12, 16, 32 team playoff. Let me decide if i want them on campus or in bowls. More customization is always better.

Hopefully they get very accurate representations of Moore and Minters playbooks

I haven't played a football video game since the NCAA 2014 on my old Playstation 2. Hopefully the muscle memory is still there!

This wasn't slowing down or impacting it's release at all.

Imagine if your job was to code Ryan Day's pregame pillow fight dance ritual. . .

That is funny to think about. How about the Texas AanM coach introductory prese conference? Doubt that would be in a game but man was that cringe. No idea if thats why Bo turned them down or not but I would not blame anyone for not taking that job. Elko will last 2 years max.

I had a pretty good dynasty with a few folks from the blog back in 2012/2013, looking forward to doing it on a PS5 and 1GB internet instead of whatever I had a decade ago lol

I purposely grabbed a PS5 recently because it hasn't been confirmed on PC, yet. I want to be able to play this when it comes out.

I'll never forget Corso putting on that Michigan helmet after the team ran out on the field from the end zone. The crowd noise meter button you tapped to make the stadium louder and shake the screen. Sending Head coach on visit for that 4* running back out of ohio. Saving outgoing draft class to the memory card to upload on madden.

Awesome. I still play NCAA '14 on RPCS3. But looking forward to retiring it for a new version. I want some RPO action and better, more intelligent run blocking.

As expected, the tiff over licensing has been settled and it was never a big roadblock. I've been listening to podcasts from Matt Brown who is the definitive EA college football follower as well as solid verbal, he said it was just a squabble about payments to players which was clearly resolved.
From what I've been seeing from Matt Brown and the EricRaywaeather or whatever his name is on Youtube, this game is NOT a Madden reskin. They went and built the engine from scratch. I know people like to shit on EA but this is Not Madden, this is a whole new game with a whole new dynamic, no frostbite from what I can tell. And what excites me the most is how EA has reached out to the schools for soundbites and music that will help make an authentic atmosphere. So assuming Michigan gives EA the files for stuff like Mr Brightside during the 2nd half (this is all hypothetical, just used as an example) and obviously the Michigan bad playing Hail to the Victors. That's really going to help immerse the player in the environment, imagine the PA announcer going "WELCOME TO THE LARGEST CROWD EVER WATCHING A GAME TODAY".
August can't come soon enough, my PS5 is ready and I will blow 70 dollars straight out to play this day of.

I hope part of that deal was the players make money on the "cards" they would sell so that people can build and play MyTeam or whatever they decided to call it. There are people spending thousands of dollars on those damn things in NBA2K or Madden just to get top player cards that are really just the same player with different stats.

I would buy a new console just to be able to play this game!

Hot take: ESPN NFL 2K5 is the best football video game I've ever played, and no one can change my mind.

Mandatory plug for NCAA Revamped, which I am almost certain will still be better than a decade newer game from EA.

I play revamped. Eh ... it is showing its age. No RPOs. I am interested to see what they come up with next year.
December 1st, 2023 at 2:03 PM ^
This is the best video game ever made and I will buy it and whatever system it's on ASAP.
Please let this happen!

Unfortunately I spent more time on Championship manager 03/04 than NCAA (I had to study, and playing controller games conflicted with playing school).
It's too bad that baseball is the only other sport that ports well into a spreadsheet simulator. Football requires too much granular detail and real-time adjustment.
If someone ever figured out the marriage of CM (now FM) and NCAA Football, they'd have a gold mine. The EA Coach game isn't the same, it's just Madden without the ability to move the player.

I feel like I’ve been hearing this is “imminent” for 7 years.
