Based on what insiders are tweeting, it sounds like more of a “pause” than a “pull”, which I can’t imagine signing him without reservation without at least collecting the facts. I think you do a couple weeks of diligence, make sure he’s not involved, and then move forward after that
isnt doing some diligence here a good idea? Once you’re sure he’s more or less clean, then sign him up ASAP.

I suspect it’s a lot easier to wait a few weeks to sign, than to sign a $100mm contract and try to use an out if we find out Harbaugh was somehow masterminding all this. lawsuits, more headaches, etc.
I don’t have a ton of faith in Warde to get it right but if it’s me my message to Jim is: you’re our guy, we just need to do our own work on this and make sure you’re as clean as we all believe (trust but verify and all that), and if that turns out to be the case we’ll make you the highest paid guy in the Big 10 by the end of November. Simple as that

Harbaugh is clean. He wouldn't have put all that shit out about having integrity if it were just going to increase the intensity of the egg on his face. It's a hit job, trying to pump enough up in the court of public opinion to force the Warde or the REgents' hand.
Haven't tracked Warde's work/record. I remember how glad some were when he came on. I'd think right now stability and solidarity are paramount; if we lose Harbaugh over this, then yes, perhaps a head should roll.

WSJ uses “pause” in place of “rescind” in the last paragraph.
The pause on his raise in recent weeks, parallel to the additional scrutiny in the sign-stealing investigation, is likely only to increase the speculation that Harbaugh may decamp for the professional game before the NCAA makes its ruling. In the meantime, Harbaugh has Michigan marching toward yet another College Football Playoff appearance.

Even if it is a pause, I have to say he is gone. It will take a lot to bring him back into the fold. Recruiting momentum is gone as well. Unless the pause was initiated and agreed by Harbaugh, which is possible. I wonder what Sam will say tomorrow.
