It's no secret there is a reason he was at GVSU for so long. Dude is a snarky asshole. Eventually if you win enough games some people will overlook it, but if you lose it makes it easier to dislike you.
He is like the anti-Hoke. Hoke was a good dude that loved his players, but not the best coach. Kelly is an ass that has had some pretty significant success as a coach.

I don’t dislike BK as much as everyone else here, I knew tons of GVSU players that loved playing for him. That being said, he is abrasive and arrogant.
But I still put that more on the reporter. Totally unprofessional response by her.

Man, it must be so tough for Bayou Brian Kelly knowing that he'll be the smartest, funniest, most Cajun person in every room he is ever in.
Perhaps not the best, snappiest response from the reporter though. I would've gone with, "With a $95,000,000 contract, you can probably afford to throw the end of the year party you mentioned without us having to chip in".

I have ZERO problem with the reporter's response.
There was no reason for Kelly to start out the presser that way. Total ahole move. That reporter wasn't unprofessional -- she was just setting some boundaries.

Kelly is a dick, but he is within his rights to not answer or at the least give short answers to any of her questions after that.
