The Camera's Eye: Bryan Fuller
[Ed: You see their names adorn our photos all the time, but once a year we like to highlight some of the most important members of our team. MGoBlog would have a hard time doing what we do without the dedication and professionalism and talent of our photography staff. So here at the end of the year we leave some space for them to choose their favorite photos, tell a story, add their perspectives, or share whatever they like, starting with our photo editor Bryan Fuller.]
After having to sit out the 2020 season due to limited media access, I couldn’t wait to get back on the sidelines this season. However, admittedly, I never saw the on-field success of these season coming. It has been such a fun and memorable season for me, as it certainly has been for all of us. Below are a few of my favorite photos from the season so far (if I had to pick a favorite, I would be had pressed to choose between the Haskins leap against OSU, Haskins diving over the pile against Iowa, or Huch holding up the B10 Championship trophy)…..but as Coach Harbaugh likes to say, “Lord willing and the creek don’t rise” I’ll still have not one, but two more memorable games left in this magical season!
Byran's favorites of 2021 album:
[After THE JUMP: Some notes about the season he covered]
The home opener against Western was pretty special. Just being back in The Big House with 110,000+ after the craziness of the past two years was a huge relief. It was also the first few glimpses, even if we didn’t know it at the time, of what a great team we had. Cade was totally in control, Aiden was getting after the quarterback, and Hassan had his first of many leaps of the year.
The Washington game was all about how dominant our rushing attack could be, with an offensive line that could impose its will and two star running backs that took advantage of it.
Almost any other year the Wisconsin game would have been my favorite of the season. I love traveling to Madison and finally found out how much more I love covering games there with a huge road win. The defense was especially awesome in this one and it started to become clear that David Ojabo was going to become a star.
Blake Corum and Aiden Hutchinson continued their stellar seasons in a decisive home win against Northwestern.
Welp, this one sucked, no sugar coating it. From the sideline it definitely felt like we were the better team all afternoon. As a photographer you always hate it when you have photos that tell the story of a triumphant win only to see it slip away in the end. But despite the setback, there were still some real bright spots, especially from Cade and the passing game.
For the life of me I will never understand why the Indiana game was a night game, but at least we got another Hassan Haskins leap.
I really don’t know where to begin or what to say about the Ohio State game. It was so special in so many ways. The atmosphere in the stadium, the snow coming down, an excellent gameplan from the coaches, the near perfect execution from the players---it was a game I will never forget. Having been right there for so many gut punches (the Gardner OSU game, the blocked punt, JT was short…just to name a few), I didn’t relax one bit until the last minute of this game---but when I did, it was such an emotional relief (definitely not afraid to admit I got pretty choked up) followed by just pure joy. I know we will all remember this game for a long, long time.
And finally, a few favorite photos from a Big Ten Championship Game that I just wouldn’t have believed we would be playing in at the start of the season. Hail to the Victors
Thank you to everyone who has shown me support this year. It is a dream gig, but it is a lot of hard work, travel, time away from the family, and more, so thank you! I will continue sharing a lot of my photos on my Instagram page @BryanFullerPhotography, so please stop by and take a look. I hope all of you have a safe and happy holidays----and course, Go Blue!!

I've got a lifetime of great memories (and a few bad ones...ahem...JT Barrett) but I will be hard pressed to enjoy any more than all those beautiful hurdles by the completely unheralded Hassan Haskins.

Awesome job!!! I would love to purchase some of these... is there a way?

You can just download them, high res. They're all creative commons licensed, since the school won't let the photographers sell them.

Would be great if they could be purchased as prints (with a decent markup for the photographer!).
Or if we could purchase a cheap MGoBlog pen for $30, but each one comes with a free creative-commons licensed photo of our choosing.

Great photos!!
On several pictures you can see Cade load his side-arm pass. The Haskin leaps are awesome as is the 9 - 2 - 5 shot of the three M speedsters.
