[Reminder that posting anything from Rainer Sabin is an insta-ban]
Harbaugh and players acknowledge that Ryan Osborn, an analyst, was directly coaching players — a violation akin to what Harbaugh once called out Ryan Day about.
[Edited @10:35 am:
NO RANIER SABIN!
I removed the link, we're not giving Sabin clicks on a poorly-researched hit piece.

Feel free to leave since this place is clearly so beneath you now.

Bottom line: the "no Sabin" rule has been in place on the board ever since Sabin's first hack pieces shortly after The Freep hired him a few years ago.
Sabin has one overriding duty to the Freep: generate clicks.
I have one duty as a mod: enforcement of board policy.
You've been on MGoBlog since 2009 and know better than to link certain writers and publications---or at least you should know better by now.

I've been here a long time and I had no idea we had this rule.
August 19th, 2021 at 1:50 PM ^
Thank you. Neither did I. Believe it or not, I think many or most readers here would assume it's okay to publish an article from the largest paper in the state. I think many would also be surprised to know that you've essentially banned said publication (since you've banned its main M football writer). But even if you think I/we should have known that -- which, fair enough -- I simply asked for evidence of why he's been banned (since that's a fairly extreme measure). I also said I'd concede the point if you'd be willing to do that. Explain to me why asking you to support your case with evidence is unreasonable and I'll shut up.

I think that the best part about this post is that it comes a little over an hour after Seth's post at 12:22pm linking the Sea Lion cartoon, at the end of which, the sea lion states that he'll be back in an hour.
Near perfection!
Edit: Also, I disagree with your premise that its reasonable to expect that "many or most readers here would assume it's okay to publish an article from the largest paper in the state."
Readers here understand that there are house rules and are willing to abide by them, including those rules with which they may happen to disagree. To turn your statement back to you, "believe it or not, many or most readers here would enjoy reading and commenting on Sabin's writing, but, out of respect for the opinion of the persons operating the blog, since the readers are mere guests, they've decided to follow the house rules and not take a raging dump in the middle of the floor and leave the mess for the hosts to clean up." There, we have the same exact support for our completely made up opinions that we have now presented as fact.

Who the fuck still reads a newspaper in 2021?
August 19th, 2021 at 1:56 PM ^
I posted a link when I edited the OP this morning; I'll also momentarily add the link to Brian's FAQ section.
Both links, however, are immediately available directly underneath the MGoBanner and can be accessed at any time by clicking the heading "MGoBoard" for the pull-down list of permanent links.

Life has its rules, too. I find it best to follow them, to the best of my ability.
August 20th, 2021 at 9:46 AM ^
Been here a while and it's getting hard to know who all is banned because there are so many fragile egos in here.
August 19th, 2021 at 12:36 PM ^
You’ve been a part of this blog for nearly 12 years and you must know there is a “do not post” list in the FAQ. I think it’s really strange that you keep trying to defend this. Just fucking own it.
Edit: Rob f beat me to the return key.
August 19th, 2021 at 2:00 PM ^
I just answered that above. I acknowledge that I truly didn't know that. You got me there! But the larger question I was asking is why is he banned? Like what specific infractions did he commit? I'm genuinely curious about what he specifically did to earn the blog's wrath.

Blatant, if subtle invitation for a discussion about WD and XM. Clever.
August 19th, 2021 at 12:51 PM ^
This site should worry about it's own clicks instead of anyone else's.
August 19th, 2021 at 12:54 PM ^
Read Seth's post above. That's exactly what it's doing.
August 19th, 2021 at 1:06 PM ^
I would if this site didn't take 10 minutes to load because of all the spam ads that infest this place. The two comments I've now posted have eaten up all my available free time over lunch.
August 19th, 2021 at 1:49 PM ^
Why worry about lunch ?? when you have the latest on MGoBlog to digest?
August 19th, 2021 at 3:07 PM ^
For real... they should have banned Drupal and HUEL.
August 19th, 2021 at 5:26 PM ^
The fuck kind of 90's tech are you using to interact with this site?
August 19th, 2021 at 1:09 PM ^
People bending over backwards to hate on Harbaugh. In the original Freep article and on this thread. I don’t get it. Support the coach and team.
August 19th, 2021 at 3:56 PM ^
This article is about the best piece that Sabin has done and, of course, it is old news. His work lacks any effort and he dwells on non-cospiracies and Harbaugh. The same is true of his MSU articles. My Spartan friends don't read him either. How many pictures are there of Dr Anderson at Bentley?

Here is Rainer Sabin's header on LinkedIn. Emphasis mine. Shit starter to his core.
