BTN to produce new documentary on Michigan-Michigan State rivalry
Wonder how many "little brother" references there will be in this
I put the over/under at 4.
As many as it takes.
Everyone forgets that MSU then made fun of Harts height. The went personal upon hearing Hart's comment.
Stay classy MSU
And don't forget it wasn't fans of MSU or players. It was Dantonio himself.
Dantonio represents a lot of what's wrong with sports. He's a fucking asshole piece of shit of a human but people still like him because he beat Michigan and won some B1G championships.
And had a gimmick play to beat Notre Dame and the luckiest of fluke plays to beat UofM.
Da'clownio called for a moment of silence when Michigan lost their season opener, then that piece of shit wants to get upset when a college kid talks trash about msu later the same season.
Wasn't their initial response to refer to UM as "Little Sister?" Maybe someone should have seen that red flag considering what has been brought to light in the last few years...
Probably 3 - 9
That we called them Little Brother more than a decade ago is our fault.
That it still sticks to this day is their fault.
Our fault? It was accurate then, and it's accurate now. Too bad the doc will probably have recency bias, because we kicked their ass for years.
There would be no documentary if they didn't have recent success.
HP - How's your FaceApp scam working out? Any valuable blackmail yet?
FaceApp - and with over 100m downloads on Google Play Store and topping the charts of the Apple Store in dozens of countries, I'm sure the blackmail is plentiful
Someone cue the humancentipad gif
Let's just say, it's Christmas in July!
There's something wrong with that app. When I do it a skull appears. See...
I never watch these documentaries. The bad results are too painful to relive
Meh, the documentary is going to cover the whole history , not since just 2008
Yeah, but they’ll feel a need to make it seem more even than it is, and will spend a ton more time covering post-2008.
Will not watch. How many rivals can we tolerate? We're supposed to circle every f'ing game on our schedule, I guess. And now we have to be concerned about Army.
OSU>ND>Army>Wisconsin>PSU>MSU
worry level.
I know this is a little brother thread.
You forgot Illinois and Rutger.
not a /s
This is sure to have huge national interest. I live in Texas and i get asked all the time if i'm for the green or blue team. Yep, a lot of folks are going to be really excited about a documentary about two teams commonly confused with one another.
Who was the MSU coach that cried and climbed mountains? I liked him ok
And they better not call this board the Roid Central Message Board.
Every state I've lived, they know Michigan academically and MSU as separate but it's common for them to be shocked, almost to the point of being offended, that we root against each other in sports.
I've never understood why people from other states can't comprehend why we don't like each other.
Growing up in CA, nobody outside of maybe NCAA basketball fans had ever heard of MSU. I definitely never had.
They'll feel a need to keep it even-handed, which means it won't reflect the truth. I can't say I have mountains of strong belief in BTN, anyway. I think the UM should start its own network, like UT, so that we can watch UM hockey, bball, womens and mens hoops and soccer, football, baseball, gymnastics, and etc. Since I am close to retirement I would like that very much!
No thanks.
Without the SUV rollover izzo might not have even made it to see that 2000 season. They wanted to fire him because he couldn't beat us..........until that happened.
MSU failed to win consecutive games against Michigan for 40 years.......until we made a terrible hire.
End documentary.
I really wish Crisler got his wish of keeping them out of the conference and instead inviting Pitt because MSU would be floating around out there in the AAC with Cincinnati.
Oh darn, you mean UC missed the opportunity to see half of moou’s message board front pages littered with threads about them. Meh UC probably doesn’t care, they still get mentioned nationally more than the spartards
I'm ok with it as long as they are truthful about the rivalry and not almost purely focusing on the last 10-15 years, which of course they will since those years make it appear like an even rivalry.
Will we get to see John L Smith slap himself?
Probably won't watch. Outside of 2004 and 2005, I can't remember too many memorable wins against them in football. The rest seem like your ordinary, ho-hum Michigan win. Every MSU win during the Bo/Moeller/Carr years were legit upsets. No one wants to watch that, but they'll watch Spartan Bob, the 2015 debacle and the missed PI in 1990.
I have no interest in watching the hoops stuff either. Even with the Fab Five wins tossed out, we have a winning record against them. Pretty sure the documentary will omit that.
Yeah, this really just feels like an excuse to showcase Mork's success. And the MSU wins have been much more Hollywood like in the kind you would see in a documentary.
I don't see them dedicating much to 21 years of Bo's teams humiliating them. And to even dedicate equal time to both teams success, they'd have to leave out a ton of Michigan wins.
This smells like the days of ESPN Classic, where showing heartbreak Michigan losses was the norm.
Didn't he embarras the B1G by getting skunked in the playoffs?
Ugh... F'K that ! Not watching anything with that pos dantoino
Michigan: Ranked among the world's top universities and a leader in too many fields to count.
Staee: Rape condoning cesspool with pieces of shit as human beings as the President, the BoT, faculty, and fanbase.
What's there to document? Yawn.
Show Tom Slade and Matthew Aitch and I'm all in.
I dunno. If it were up to me I'd do this in two parts, one for hoops, the other for football. Switching back and forth between the two sports is liable to make the story line a muddle.
Documentary? "Your school seems awful and your girls are annoying!"
If this doesn’t include an objective look at Spartan Bob it’s worthless.
No interest. Can't respect a University what did, and probably still do, just to beat Michigan. Very disgusting.
Dont watch it!!! I won't. For it helps validate them. They need to be irrelevant again. They've always wanted validity by being a real rival. We only have one in OSU.
That’s cute. Sharty gets their one mention of the year. Now the mongoloids at rud ceedur might actually start a thread about their own football team
Great and despite or in spite of the documentary, I hope MSU has another glorious 3 & 9 season.
