ACC bias

NCAA and ESPN are very aligned with their narrative. Evident in the seedings and three (3) ACC teams as #1's

Hard to get "pumped" for the tourney when the deck is set up like this ?

I hope we get a chance to find out. But I don't see a 35 point turn around for UNC even a few months later.  The ACC doesn't play a whole lot of defense. And again, we ran them off the floor earlier this year. You can say that doesn't matter now, but you're wrong.

Hard to argue with it.....those three teams are the best in America. And we avoided all of them.

Personally I couldn’t be happier with our draw situation. State got hosed and we got the easiest possible region. Gonzaga is a great team but it’s easily the most beatable of the one seeds. Would much rather be staring down the barrel at Gonzaga, Nevada and Texas Tech than UNC, Kentucky, UVa or Duke.

If we happen to make it to the second weekend, the West Coast alums will flood into Anaheim like they did in LA last year. I think they could even outnumber Gonzaga fans. Would not be the same situation if we had to play Duke in DC.

I hate that Nevada is the #7 on our side, but I can't be too picky I suppose. Would've preferred Louisville.

There are a lot of really good teams in that mid-seeing range. Starting with Houston, but Cincinnati, Utah St., Washington, Wofford, Iowa St. are all dangerous teams.

Also, the rules say that Michigan can't be the #2 in place of MSU. We've played Minnesota 3 times, we can't meet in the 2nd round by rule. I suppose the answer is simply to move Minnesota, but I'm not sure that people know it couldn't be a 1 for 1 swap.

UNC getting a 1 seed is a damn joke.  ACC getting the sweetheart deal yet again.  But hey, I love our bracket.

ESPN is calling for the 2nd round upset but I give Nev/Fla very little chance with just one day to prepare for us.

It's go time.  Go Blue!!

So how exactly would the conspiracy work?  The committee chair is the Stanford AD.  There are ten people on the committee and only one is an ACC member.

Would Duke’s AD be the one to propose the conspiracy?  If the other members didn’t agree to stack the deck in favor of this one member’s conference, wouldn’t that make things kinda awkward?

My main issue is the way injuries are handled. So basically Duke doesn't get penalized because Zion was injured. The implication is those losses shouldn't really count or they might not have lost them with Zion. OK, so agree with that but then what do we do with UNC? Does anyone think they win both of those games or part of the conference championship if Zion plays. I mean, there's no clean solution but the net effect is that Duke doesn't get dinged for losses but UNC is getting 2x great quad 1 wins, higher NET rating, co-conference championship etc so still reaping full credit for the win. Funny outcome since both teams wind up benefiting from the injury.

Tenn could have had the last #1 seed but they got blown out, that game wasn't even close from the start.  Anyway the ACC is legit, I'm going to take most of their teams in my bracket.

In the end, the team that wins it all has to go through those teams to get there. I love all the conspiracy theories out there and especially in sports. We were cheated being the biggest conspiracy of them all. Michigan actually got a good draw for the tournament this year but the bigger concern right now is their lack of quality depth. Michigan State is the better basketball team.
