Clemson is a thing of beauty, lots of misdirection and 5 wide sets. Nothing like we ever see.

MOD EDIT - Changed title. - LSA

Notre Dame is about to take all of the negative attention off of Michigan for a miserable showing in a bowl game today.

And people are actually watching their game.

Difference between a good coaching staff and ours. Dabo up 2 scores with under a minute and bad field position still takes a timeout and aggressively drives down the field.

Just think if that was M with the ball to end the half. The half would have ended with a run play and then the clock would have run 45 seconds because Jim was getting the ball to start 2nd half.

Been to three Clemson games.  Campus is beautiful, they have a fantastic atmosphere and the fans are some of the nicest I have ever experienced.  The town is quite small, but Greenville isn't far away at all and it would remind you of AA.  A very good (not great but quite good) University as well.  It isn't for some crazy reason that Clemson has found its spot.

Dabo grew into the job and to Clemson's credit they gave him the time to do that. He made mistakes and learned from them. Built up the entire program and adjusted when things weren't working. Paid huge money for Venables. Picked up Chad Morris. Targeted his recruiting.

In 2011 he won Clemson's first ACC title in 20 or so years and proceeded to get pasted 70-33 in the Orange Bowl. Lost in 2013 to Jameis Winston's FSU squad in a big way. He just kept improving the program bit by bit and he now has the 2nd best program in the country, bar none.

I'll leave judgment to those who see this differently... how was that a Clemson TD if we didn't get the TD with Black

I don't know about that.  I'd say that Clemson has crashed the party.

They are not in the SEC.  They have not been a top 5 recruiting team.  They were traditionally being out-classed by FSU.

They did it by coaching and scheme.  And now the recruiting is catching up.

They are showing the way to teams on the fringe (like Michigan, hint, hint) how it's done.

Elite QB makes the the players around him better. I wonder what that is like to have.?.?.

I think Shea is a good QB, just not s great QB. Team’s with great QB’s or good QB’s who rise up in big games, give their teams the best chance to win

Clemson is showing us how to do it folks.

So what is it they can do that we can't do?

They are NOT out-recruiting us.

They ARE out-coaching us.  That is clearly evident.

Good take.

I found myself thinking similarly. Are their WRs that much better than ours? Clemson seems to give their WRs the chance to make plays; why do we rarely seem to do the same? Why not give DPJ more chances to make plays?

Rhetorical questions, really. Suppose I'm just bitching because I'm pissed like you guys.

Textbook end of half possession by Clemson. It’s not that hard, just takes basic competence.

All the village idiots that don’t think Dabo Swinney can coach should go pound sand

Since I’m in a bitching mood.  It really grinds my gears when people on tv refer to the Orange Bowl in “South Beach”.  It’s 45 minutes from there.

I know I said it in jest somewhat but I was completely serious when I said Harbaugh should look at one of Clemson's OC's. I think Clemson's offense is honestly the perfect meld of innovate big play ability with a good-great running game to compliment
