Don’t taunt and tease us!
December 29th, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
Dabo Swinney felt the pressure and went out and got Chad Morris, hit the lottery with Desean Watson and hired Venables.
People love to compare Harbaugh to Swinney, so let’s see if wholesale changes happen this year

Yeah...sick of Michigan fans who think Clemson is a "bag man" school. Go ask every College football insider and see what they say. Clemson is about as above board and as they come. Their integrity is not something that has been compromised one bit. But it is always easier to blame someone who is better than you with a pathetic accusation.
December 29th, 2018 at 6:06 PM ^
What I heard is that there is a Megachurch which is funneling benefits to players/their families somehow... (it's been a bit since it was laid out for me) As far as what "insiders" have said... that's all I have heard.
December 29th, 2018 at 6:10 PM ^
That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. LOL. On another note, the Jehovah's Witness are behind Alabama's success. That's what insider's have told me.
December 29th, 2018 at 7:16 PM ^
Basically the church has income/housing assistance programs which then magically players families get enrolled in. So the boosters get the $$ into the church fund for that and then it gets funneled to the players' families... I don't care if you think it's stupid. I am literally just saying what I have heard. I am not personally involved in that racket, so you can take it with a grain of salt.

Clemson is NOT clean.
Rashan Gary says hello.
But it does not matter. Michigan has recruited at Clemson's level regardless.
But we have done nothing with it.
December 29th, 2018 at 6:36 PM ^
So of course, what follows is that Michigan is 100% clean? So how does Michigan recruit at "Clemson levels" without a bagman like Clemson?
Can't be because we have a better coach.
Can't be because we win Conference Titles and get Playoff appearances.
Can't be because we have won a National Championship in the last 4 years.
So how does Michigan recruit so well?
December 29th, 2018 at 7:01 PM ^
Love the instant pivot to whatabout-ism when confronted with evidence.
December 29th, 2018 at 7:06 PM ^
What evidence are you referring to?
December 29th, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
"Gary says hello." We have his testimony --or his mom's-- that they cheat
December 29th, 2018 at 7:09 PM ^
I mean he’s wrong that Clemson doesn’t cheat but he’s also right that Michigan also cheats and recruits at a similar level so it’s not an excuse.
December 30th, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
And how exactly is Michigan cheating? I doubt it would be bagmen, since we would certainly be able to outbid the SEC schools if we were.
December 29th, 2018 at 7:50 PM ^
Intresting take about a team that has 3 different players currently banned for using PEDs.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:33 PM ^
Good defenses too.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
Nah, I'm too busy eating the equivalent of my body weight in ham slices.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
Both teams are good on both sides.
Ian Book made ND very good. Plus Dexter Williams.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:40 PM ^
Michigan doesn't even look in the same stratosphere as these teams.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
I mean Michigan did play one of these teams in a one score loss on the road - but if Book and Williams were playing I suppose it could’ve been a massacre.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:08 PM ^
Completely different offense now. Dexter Williams is a very good back and obviously Book is an upgrade at QB.
Clemson D is incredible, even without their best player.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:58 PM ^
The game wasn't close. Stop trying to pretend it was. We got a late score on a bunch of backyard football plays (completely unsustainable).
December 29th, 2018 at 6:34 PM ^

December 30th, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
We were down by a single touchdown, with the ball, and a chance to score a touchdown in the last 2 minutes of the game. It was ugly before that, but it was close near the end and that's all that matters.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:48 PM ^
We did for a brief time in October.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:59 PM ^
I would have said this before the game but it's more obvious with the halftime score... ND is not even in the same stratosphere as Bama/Clemson/Georgia/etc. ND this season is like half a level better than UM but half a level (at least) below the aforementioned teams.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
Didn’t appear conclusive that it was out
December 29th, 2018 at 4:52 PM ^
How that call got overturned is beyond me.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
Bad break for ND. That was not conclusive.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:48 PM ^
Just enjoying a modern, fast paced, exciting game of college football. What a pleasure.
December 29th, 2018 at 4:49 PM ^
These teams would beat us by 30-40
December 29th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
We literally played one of these teams and that did not happen wtf
December 29th, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
First game of the year and ND benched the QB that beat Michigan and got a few key offensive weapons back later in the season.
The outcome would be worse now.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:20 PM ^
And we didn't run Shea at all in that game and also didn't have Black or Metellus. This fanbase is so miserable after a loss. Even now the Wisconsin and Penn State games didn't count because of how bad we played today
December 29th, 2018 at 5:05 PM ^
No. 70 points at a minimum. Notre Dame is amazing. Holy shit people stop it
December 29th, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Too depressed to even root for Notre Shame to get their teeth knocked out right now.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:04 PM ^
Think it'll happen anyway.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
Love all these tight passes on first down.... What an amazing innovation in football to not rush rush pass every down.
December 29th, 2018 at 5:00 PM ^
These teams just look so different on O. I know they are struggling a bit, but they still look so much more smooth than UM. I’ve said it a few times but Harbaugh’s offense just looks hard and the players almost always look confused. Even on successful plays, it looks way more difficult than it should have been. It’s bizarre.
December 29th, 2018 at 6:32 PM ^
And our play calling is disjointed. We can never seem to string together 3 good plays in a row. There is no rhythm.
December 29th, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
"And our play calling is disjointed. We can never seem to string together 3 good plays in a row. There is no rhythm."
You know what they say about products designed by committees.

That guy on Notre Dame's defensive line whose artistic inspiration for his eyeblack is clearly Kaecilius from "Doctor Strange" needs to just quit doing that to his face.
December 29th, 2018 at 7:30 PM ^
Cleaning all that crap off after getting manhandled has got to be rather demoralizing
December 29th, 2018 at 5:06 PM ^
Gotta give it up to Brian Kelly. The dude keeps it going being on the hot seat seemingly every year
December 29th, 2018 at 5:22 PM ^
He's pretty dependent on opponent strength. When Stanford, Michigan, and USC are good, he bombs. When they're not, he goes undefeated. But the postseason results are always the same
December 29th, 2018 at 5:11 PM ^
Done with football
December 29th, 2018 at 5:16 PM ^
So...……………….
Guess I missed the transition but the Cotton Bowl isn't played in the Cotton Bowl anymore but the OU/UT game is still played in the Cotton Bowl?
December 29th, 2018 at 5:26 PM ^
ND really doing everything they can on defense to bend and not break and keep this thing close. Succeeding thus far, but can it last?
December 29th, 2018 at 5:41 PM ^
Edit: Nope.
You can't win big games just on defense any more in the modern era.
The sooner we figure that out, the better off we will be.
If you don't have a plan to score 30+ points when you step foot on the field, don't even show up.
