Michigan vs Purdue MBB Open Thread

I'm glad to see that Dakich stayed pro-Michigan even though his son is out of the picture.
Before his kid came the Michigan, he was a bit of a dick to us,

Teske 3!!!!
December 1st, 2018 at 4:31 PM ^
WOOOO TESKE from deep
December 1st, 2018 at 4:32 PM ^
Dakich really likes Beilein, and genuinely seems to admire Michigan's style of play.
Hard not to.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:36 PM ^
Why did he let his kid transfer to the suckeyes?
December 1st, 2018 at 4:38 PM ^
Because they offered him a scholarship and actual minutes in a power 5 conference. Plus, Quinnipiac cancelled the graduate program he was going to take.

Edwards is really good. Damn.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:33 PM ^
that was a sick layup by Poole
December 1st, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
i like this version of poole. came out slow this year.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:34 PM ^
Defense needs to step up. Offense is great.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
One does not drive the lane on Jon Teske
December 1st, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
Not without repercussions.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:35 PM ^
Edwards is really good, but he can't beat an entire, finely tuned team on his own.
We look unstoppable!
December 1st, 2018 at 4:36 PM ^
NoGel--what kind of product does he use?
December 1st, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
In a little bit of “anything you can do, I can do better,” Purdue scores 12 points on its first six second half possessions.. and Michigan actually extends the lead by two.
Carsen Edwards is playing much better so far in the second half. Michigan will need to pick up the defense again to close this game out, since I assume Purdue will eventually play defense themselves. :)

We are so much better at basketball than football it isn’t even funny
December 1st, 2018 at 4:38 PM ^
Pssst: this has been true for 30 years.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
Purdue is down 16 at the half.
They come out in the second half shooting lights out.
And now they are down 18.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:37 PM ^
It looks like Poole is having that breakout year after all.
I'm catching as many games as I can this year because something tells me Michigan is ending up with two open scholarships.

Simpson is uncanny around the basket. Those long arms seem to stretch forever
December 1st, 2018 at 4:41 PM ^
It's all Edwards for Purdue.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:42 PM ^
Dakich dropping more names than Harbaugh drops big games.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:43 PM ^
not just layups. i can't fathom how much work simpson has put in to make those full-arm extension layups look so easy like he does. he is become unguardable inside-out; instead of outside-in, like most PGs. incredible.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:43 PM ^
Teske's gonna grab 20 boards - love it!
December 1st, 2018 at 4:44 PM ^
Getting sloppy. Still too much time left for that.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
Come on. That’s 3 turnovers in a row. Let’s push the lead to 25.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
Michigan playing a bit sloppy today with free throws, missed layups, and some bad passes yet they STILL have a 20 point lead on Purdue.
Let that sink in!
December 1st, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
Keep it that way.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:46 PM ^
Sloppy play...but typical after such a big game. Love if they can win ugly...lots to improve upon and coach up but still a W
December 1st, 2018 at 4:47 PM ^
Teachable moments, yum.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:48 PM ^
This has not been ugly. They've shot the ball really well, and the high 3pt% easily offsets a few missed bunnies.
This has been a really strong performance, again.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:50 PM ^
Every game we go through a 5 to 7 minute drought. We are in ours now. Need a basket here.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Did Dakich just try to give Andrew credit for X being good?
December 1st, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
Yes, but to his credit he realized it wouldn't fly and abandoned it mid-anecdote.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:51 PM ^
Good to see liver attacking off dribble
if he adds that consistently he can be very dangerous
December 1st, 2018 at 4:52 PM ^
Hope we didn’t use all our energy early. Need to finish strong.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:53 PM ^
Quit shooting livers. Today is not your day.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
He is one of our better shooters. Have to have a short memory.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:56 PM ^
He hasn’t made anything today.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
Agree - not playing with the same energy. Hopefully the timeout will help.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
Rolling, rolling, rolling...
December 1st, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
No baskets in 7 minutes and yet Purdue can't gain more than 5 points out of it. Defense is a good thing.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:54 PM ^
We look a little tired. Needed that time out.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:55 PM ^
Come on. Losing our concentration. Need to finish strong. We are letting them back in the game. Somebody please make a shot.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:56 PM ^
Beilein needs to call a set play coming out of the timeout. We need a bucket to break the drought.
.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:56 PM ^
Michigan has held all opponents to 68 or less. So I guess first one to 69 wins?
December 1st, 2018 at 4:57 PM ^
There have been multiple times in this game when Michigan had the opportunity to end it and the offense has responded by just shutting down. When they had a 20-point lead and Purdue couldn't do anything offensively, if Michigan could have just made a couple of buckets, the game would have been done. Instead, they go 6+ minutes without a field goal and Purdue now has an opportunity to make this a game again.
Edit: Thank you, Teske.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:58 PM ^
Need a bucket here. Bad.
December 1st, 2018 at 4:59 PM ^
Hate these dry spells
