That was a fantastic steal by Simpson.

Beilein is pissed that Matthews didn't run down the clock, and he's right. Need to play smart at the end of games.

So, when Izzo criticizes his players, they stare him down.  When Beilein criticized Matthews at the start of the TV timeout — Matthews smiled and agreed with his coach.

I don’t know if it’s about selecting coachable players or if it’s the coaching style itself, but the difference is stark.

I don’t know that Purdue has enough time to score 18 more points.  This defense has been unrelenting.

If there's any nitpicking in a 19-point win over a ranked B1G team with one of the best players in the conference, it's those multiple multiple-minute dry spells. Seemed like the lead ranged between 12 and 20 for the final 30 minutes of the game. The superb defense prevented Purdue from truly taking advantage of this, but this is obviously something they can't do in a close game against a team better than Purdue and hope to win. At least this gives Beilein something to work on so that the team won't get too big of a head after multiple blow outs.

The difference is in years past we would hVe those dry spells, and teams would go on runs.  This year when our offense hits a dry spell, the defense has stepped up and kept things in check. The dry spells make viewing less fun, but we really havent hurt our win chances when they happen.

So, Purdue gets 57 points on about 65 possessions or so; the second half ended up slower than the first.  For comparison’s sake, their previous worst was 72 on 73 possessions vs. FSU.

Michigan’s #1 AdjD rating is going to improve.  This is a damned good team.

Now they just need to avoid the trap game at Northwestern.  In a way, it’s actually good that they had a couple of rocky offensive stretches.  Beilein will have some teaching points; I just hope the team is receptive.  When you’re decimating opponents on a regular basis, it’s easy to get complacent.

It's a long season, and there's bound to be a stinker or two. Just enjoying the beautiful play so far.

We are so fortunate to have Coach Beilein, and this team feels special.

No nits to pick today - that was a terrific performance by a wonderful team!

Love Teske, especially heading back to the bench during a timeout, his swagger is hilariously awesome.  I love that Charles 3 point jumper is better.  I love Iggy obviously.  I love that Poole is shooting lights out.  I love when Simpson doesn't shoot 3s.  I love that we haven't even seen Livers near his best and we are still winning big.  I love that Beilein is the best coach at Michigan right now period.

Love this team!!

GO BLUE!!
