In case nobody has noticed yet, 3 out of 4 recruiting services are dead, 247 can't cover everything, teams that actually do their own evaluating and do it well have a huge leg up and will continue to get numerous 3*s that are vastly underrated.
It's basketball but Jay Wright said after their first big tournament run now the 5*s were interested in 'Nova and he stopped evaluated and just started star watching grabbing any and all highly ranked people he could...and they stunk. They only got good again after he went back to ignoring stars and just getting good players that fit his style (and yeah now some were 5*s). Stars aren't magic and they're becoming less and less accurate.

Okay but Kwitty Paye would have been a "reach" and that is shaping up quite nicely. Actually, Dwumfour also and he is progressing quite nicely.

Don't be surprised at the unfavorable responses you get to any of your posts when it comes to recruiting, in particular. You've basically shattered your own reputation by aligning any praise exclusively with 5* recruits and using terms like "reach" for any 3* or below recruit. I'm just impressed you continue to find new ways of essentially saying "5* good, 3* bad".

The only guys I've called reaches in this class are Woods (no power 5 offers), Kent (no power 5 offers), Velazquez (no power 5 offers), and Pesek-Hickson (only fball offer is Missouri State). But sure, let's go with your version of events.

I work with a guy who writes for one of the OSU recruiting websites on the side. I asked him last week about Zach Harrison and he said "He is not going to Ohio St. and will probably end up with you guys (Michigan)."
Then in typical Buckeye fashion he added on that he is a nice kid, but we will be disappointed, because he is nowhere near a Rashan Gary talent and he is injury prone.

After watching him compete at the opening, he is definitely more of a project. It doesn't mean his ceiling isn't as high though. The guy is an elite athlete and very long.

Another nail for OSU recruiting coffin. They have good guys but only 15 in what should be a much larger class with nothing left on the board for top prospects outside one or two guys.
