New GIF idea:  Harbaugh, as the Night King, throwing the ice spear and killing Viserion the dragon and looking on as he goes down in flames.  Superimpose a Brutus buckeye head/Urban Meyer face/Nitty Lion/James Franklin face over the dragon's head.  Don Brown can be the lieutenant white walker who hands the Night King the ice spear.

Someone with the skills make this happen please!

I love that what everyone expected to happen with PSU has pretty much happened.

Lost Barkley? PSU response: Well Sanders and Slade are both really good. Barkley won't be missed. - He's a generational talent that took guys away from Gesicki and McSorley. He's not there and the offense isn't as good.

Lost Gesicki and Hamilton? PSU response: Who care? Johnson, Thompkins, and Hamler will fill in no problem. McSorley drives this thing, not those guys. - McSorley's numbers have dropped in every metric with the exception of his rushing numbers because PSU needs him to be involved on 75% of plays.

Lost Moorehead? PSU response: The new OC handled the bowl game fine. Moorehead is good, but McSorley is more important and Franklin knows what he's doing. - What I said about Barkley's replacements and McSorley's drop in production. Moorehead saved Fanklin.

Lost a bunch of defensive starters? PSU response: Well, like 5 guys got a bunch of playing time last year so they count as 1/2 starters. - Dropped from 12th in S&P to 21st.

Franklin steps on rakes in game. PSU response: He won the Big Ten in 2016. He's better than Harbaugh. - He still steps on rakes in game (OSU and MSU).

If this game goes as planned, PSU will be 6-3 with Wisconsin still to come (if they can get even a little bit healthier). Everyone said this year PSU was going to fall back a bit and a loss to Michigan will solidify that.

1-4 against Michigan (1-3 against Harbaugh)

1-4 against MSU

1-4 against OSU

I'm not worrying about our defense showing up to kick some Penn St. ass.  They will.  I just hope the offense has the same fire, especially after the week off.  Michigan definitely wants to strike quickly in this game scoring-wise, and get up on them early.  Our OL and running game will be key to moving the chains and keeping the PSU offense off the field, just like the Wiscy game.

My concern as well. I also think this defense is going to come out kicking ass. But penn state is going to  have some chunk plays and score here and there. The UM offense has to come out and kick the dust off quickly, better yet, not have any dust and look improved.

Man wouldn't it be great to see the UM offense coming out looking sharp.

I remember when Penn State came into the Big 10 and the talk was how they would win the championship every year (same thing with Nebraska, BTW).  They are a substandard school, with a substandard football team, stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I don't care what the score is as long as we win.  I just want us to give them the thorough whipping they deserve.

I guess McSorley plans on being 100% this weekend, so no excuses.

[McSorley] declined to reveal whether or not he’ll wear a knee brace this week, but he has no intentions of turning into a pocket passer, as he knows full well that his scrambling and ability to move the pocket will be crucial if the No. 14 Lions hope to pull off an upset of the No. 5 Wolverines as a 10-point road underdog.
“That’s something I’m going to have to do,” McSorley said when asked if he’ll be a running threat this week, “and we’re going day-by-day and trying to see what the best fit for me is this week ... and what’s going to be most comfortable.”

I was initially concerned for this game, but then I remembered they have James Franklin as their head coach so I laughed a little and now I’m no longer worried.
