msu fans are really the dumbest i have ever seen. they pick and choose which parts of history to focus on so they have something to brag about. michigan has won 9 of the last 17 games. no..no..no.. those 6 straight losses don't count, ancient history. michigan has won 2 out of the last 3, both at east lansing. so? we won 8 out of 10. and, well we own the skunkbears.

believe me, harbaugh will dominate this series, just like bo did. then you know what you will hear???sparty will still be bragging about the 8 out of ten.

MSU has scored fewer points against Michigan each year since 2014. 7 is State's lowest point total against Michigan since 2002.

The shutout would have been nice but that was not on the defense. Hard not to be discouraged if you are a State fan. They had 94 yards and converted ZERO third downs. Woof. 5/25 for 2.6 YPA is quite the stat line.

I called holding them under 100 yards of total offense.  I also said we'd hang 50 on them.  I'll take 1 for 2 under these circumstances.

The string of consecutive shutouts a couple of years ago against crap teams was impressive, but these back-to-back annihilations of ranked opponents was something else entirely.

You know who I haven’t seen make a tackle in a month??  Noah Furbush.    I see him out there sometimes but he’s not involved in anything right now. He was up huge part of the defense last year, and early this year.

This defense, dare I say, is at least on par with 1997.  The last few games will decide.  I said preseason that this will be our best D since 1997.  They are on track to be better.

It is interesting to see how the offenses that were controlled by the Wolverine defenses all look good this week:

1. Wisconsin suddenly could pass.

2. Nebraska could run and throw.

Someone who is not computer illiterate needs to embed the twitter exchange between Chase and Graham Couch after the game. You can find it on WolverinesWire. Another couch in E. Lansing is burned to ashes.

What a phenomenal bunch of kids playing their hearts out.  So fun to watch.

If 'defense wins championships' is true, we're on our way.

Haven't missed a beat without Gary.  Just a great defense. I love watching Uche.

just me or has Hudson been somewhat invisible since the targeting ejections?  Just seems like he's been disappointing after having a really good 2017.

Don Brown and his defense is carrying this team. I said it once and i will say it again. Kennel is a solid tackler but he gets beat on pass plays a lot and allows the catch. Our corners at times (especially Lavert) get picked on and beat too much for the likes of Bama. Really good receivers or really big receivers give our guys problems. Like Notre Dame's Chase did. We will see some talented receivers at OSU like Victor. I hope their up to the challenge because our secondary hasn't looked as good as I thought they would be.

Lastly, I hope we can hold on to Don Brown because everybody is going to want him and they will pay big money to get him.
