Noon games open thread
Not a great slate but some interesting games going on. Nebraska-NW is intriguing. Ohio State got a favorable, non-reviewed 4th down conversion and scored immediately after. Will be interesting to see if Auburn's decided lack of offense makes the Tennessee game interesting

Now their LT Munford goes down with a left ankle injury. OSU has issues up front.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
Would that be their first OL injury in the Meyer era?

No Branden Bowen broke his foot last year, still isn't playing.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
Maryland has out-gained Rutgers 337-52 and is up 34-0. The third quarter hasn't ended. Surely we're well past the point where Chris Ash has to be fired mid-season. They are both terrible and not trying.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
Rutger's QBs have more completitons to Maryland (5) than to their own team (2).
October 13th, 2018 at 2:18 PM ^
OSU's never ending assembly line of good kickers is so frustrating. Even Alabama struggles there!
October 13th, 2018 at 2:23 PM ^
What surprises me is that Northwestern seems to often have poor kickers under Fitz. Kicker used to be the one thing they were always good at.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:26 PM ^
I I know the script of this OSU/Minnesota game. Struggle, struggle, struggle...look very beatable...then five minutes will go by and they'll go from being up 20-14 to being up 41-14.
Commence endless orgasms for the greatness that is OSU by everyone on ESPN and other media outlets.
Gag me.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:28 PM ^
Not sure why you got nagged. That script has played out every game this year for that cooler pooping team...
October 13th, 2018 at 2:27 PM ^
Florida just pulled within 1 with a nice throw and catch to Van Jefferson. You guys will remember him as one of Shea's teammates that dearly wanted to come to UM with him. Alas, admissions said no. He's now killing it with UF...
October 13th, 2018 at 2:28 PM ^
Sure. We have standards. Florida doesn't. Next.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:27 PM ^
OSU's defense is not good.
On the other side of the ball, Michigan's defense matches up well vs. the new style of offense that OSU is running (drop back and pass).
Michigan will beat OSU this year.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
Minny's converted from 2&17 and 1&25 so far this drive
October 13th, 2018 at 2:27 PM ^
Wow. Minnesota... Minnesotta! is grinding OSU. Love it.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
Gophers' 3rd string RB gashing OSU -- love it!
October 13th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ^
Urban’s gonna need an Advil after this one
October 13th, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
Aggravate the cyst.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ^
Minnesota tries to go tempo, and the officials blow the whistle right as they snap it, only to helpfully add "there is no foul for illegal substitution." Life in the Shoe.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:38 PM ^
Yes, Urb just deposited another $10k in the account before that...
October 13th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ^
Kinda surprised by some of these early scores! OSU tight (so far); UF losing to Vandy; Nebraska up on NW; UTenn beating up on no-offense Auburn...
October 13th, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
Minnesota just threw to Tacopants in the red zone. :(
October 13th, 2018 at 2:36 PM ^
Then kicked it to him in section 33.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:32 PM ^
Gophers not sound in the kicking game.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:32 PM ^
I love when they pan the audience after Minnesota's missed field goal, some people were applauding but many looked very distraught
October 13th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
Gophers miss a chip shot field goal. It just never ends for OSU. I have to watch a different game.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
That was it. You have to play a perfect game against OSU essentially and you can't miss field goals.
In my opinion, that will be the turning point. Also, the refs just missed a super obvious facemask.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
Of course they miss the field goal
October 13th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
Sometimes Clayton Thorson just makes a ridiculous throw and you can almost squint and see what McShay was talking about.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:37 PM ^
I feel like as the season progresses, and OSU gets scouted, their weaknesses just become more and more apparent to their opponents. How can an Urban Meyer team be so bad at running the ball?
October 13th, 2018 at 2:40 PM ^
His offenses have always been based on the threat of the QB as a runner, so this is a new challenge for him. OTOH, he uses the short passing game extensively.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:38 PM ^
The battle of the NUs is pretty good. 28-21 Nebraska after a long Northwestern TD.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:38 PM ^
I hope something bad happens to OSU on this third down play.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
Nope. Nothing bad ever happens to OSU.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:40 PM ^
I mean, make a tackle and you get the ball back. Good God, UMinn!!
October 13th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
Is KJ Hill wearing an infinity scarf?
October 13th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
Its called fashion look it up
October 13th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
This is so weird watching OSU look so mediocre at home vs. Minnesota. I keep waiting for them to blow it open, but they just keep looking like junk. If they win the Big Ten, this definitely looks like the kind of team that would lose 31-0 in the CFP again
October 13th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
They keep playing like this, they aren't winning the B1G...
October 13th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
Hey guys, what's going on? Whoa! 20-14?
October 13th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
If we're at near full strength, we beat these buckfuts.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
I know OSU is still gonna win by 14+, but just imagine the bile that would be in the game thread here if Michigan was only up six in the fourth quarter against Minnesota.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:46 PM ^
It would be bad, for sure. That's what's annoying about this board, Michigan struggles against inferior team "HARBAUGH IS OVERRATED AND UNORIGINAL AND RAGE RAGE RAGE!!!11!"
Any other team struggles against inferior opponent, "Meh, they'll still play good against us and we'll probably lose."
October 13th, 2018 at 3:02 PM ^
It's the same thing that happens on every team board when the team isn't playing very well. I'm sure some people on 11 Warriors are very upset with the way the Buckeyes are playing today.
I guess some of you just don't visit other team's forums to understand that's normal. Some people are going to be posting angry comments.
October 13th, 2018 at 3:20 PM ^
Normalizing it is the problem. It's dumb.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:54 PM ^
This is what I said when Wisconsin was up 10-7 at halftime against New Mexico.
We'd have so many heads exploding here if we were up just 10-7 over New Mexico at halftime at the Big House that we'd need to hire a professional cleaning crew to get rid of all the blood and brain tissue.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
I see where the complaints come in with Haskins - everything he throws is short. His WRs aren't covered, so they run for 15YAC every catch. That won't happen against Michigan. He'll get completions, but the yards will stop there.
UMinn is now in trouble - going behind two scores in the 4th = death.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Crossing routes. Crossing routes. Crossing routes. Is that their only play, or screw it, go with what works?
October 13th, 2018 at 2:44 PM ^
That missed Gopher FG is looming large now.
October 13th, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
How does OSU have the easiest freaking schedule... oh wait the Big Ten
