Braylon's whole claim to credibility when he throws shade Michigan's way is rooted in Michigan's performance during his playing days, so evaluating them with the lens of historical context is more than fair.  Braylon is symptomatic of late-Carr era Michigan teams that were talented but frequently underperformed, all while exhibiting a level of entitlement and swagger that isn't justified by their record.  The harsh truth is that Michigan's slide didn't start in 2008, it started in 2001, where we saw the football team still put up respectable win totals, but frequently found themselves overmatched against elite-level competition (OSU, USC, Texas, etc...); a slow slide that reached a nadir with the App State / Oregon disaster, which lead to the utter collapse under Rodriguez / Hoke.

So when Braylon wants to go on Twitter with some ridiculous "UNACCEPTABLE" rant while absolving himself of any accountability for us being in this position today just because he set a couple of personal records during his playing days; is myopic and disingenuous.

So yeah, Braylon can go fuck himself.

I think most of us can agree that Braylon should probably close down his Twitter account and STFU.  However, as a player, he holds most of the WR records at Michigan while being a star player on the last outright B10 Championship team.  Knocking him as a player probably isn’t called for.

The only reason Braylon broke all those records was because he was a good not a great receiver.  Had he elite level talent, he would've been lured away to the pros early like most other elite level players.  That 4-year players like Braylon and Mike Hart hold these career records at Michigan belies the fact that talent-wise, they weren't top notch.

there's such a thing as tact.

I appreciate Braylon and what he did... doesn't give him the right to do a drive by on a couple of college kids...

and be a man and apologize properly.

he has the right to criticize the program and the head coach, but like Gary said, a grown man calling out a couple of college kids?!

just a bad, bad look on Braylon

Damn, what an asshole. What a shit excuse for an apology. Delete your Twitter. Better yet, reach out to the guys personally and give them an actual apology. Then delete your account.

Fuck him. And fuck Twitter too.

Best Wolverine playmaker of the 2000s decade without a doubt.

Couldnt hold onto a pass in the NFL leading him to be a bust, and was recently fired from 97.1 and now suspended from BTN. A terrific player, but now he’s just an alcoholic NFL-washout. It’s too bad, because he was one hell of a college football player

Jeremy Gallon holds the big ten record for most yards in a single game. He is second all time in receiving yards in a game all of FBS football. He holds the school record for most receiving yards in a season. Jeremy Gallon averaged 15.6 ypc during his career and 15.4 his senior year. Braylon? 13.7 his senior year and 14.1 for his career. Gallon has more yards after catch as well. Gallon had 9 touchdowns his senior season to Braylon's 15. Don't let the facts cloud your wrong opinion though.

The criticisms that Braylon Edwards leveled at Ruiz and Patterson could have been made at Braylon when he was their age.  He sure as hell dropped a lot of passes back in the day, and was himself criticized for it in the press.  It wasn't right then, and it isn't right now.

I think Braylon Edwards should take his own advise and step up his own game, both as an alum as well as a person.

What a narcissistic prick.  Does he seriously think he is the only one that gets pissed when we lose a game?  Everyone is pissed right now, but you dont jump on twitter and berate players and give a half assed apology.

Nobody asked him to apologize for saying the program is mediocre right now. Only for calling out specific players. So not sure why he even had to add that last part other than his own ego

He's not wrong. Harbaugh needs to win out.

The shit show we saw on Saturday, is not worth the $8 million we're paying our head coach...in YEAR FUCKING FOUR!  Dr. Blitz' defense looked like shit too.  I feel bad for Winovich and Bush.

If not for the kick return and the garbage time td, we got smoked.

That was embarrassing.

Ahhh, lets take a look at this shall we, Michigan finished 10-3 iwth a 4 point road loss to Oregon when we were #3 in the country, and a road loss to Iowa and then a 14 point loss to usc in the rose bowl to end the year. Ended up ranked #6.  It was actually one of the more frustrating seasons even though we won the Big10. Its not like we went 12-1 or something, He still was 1-3 vs OSU, he can keep his mouth shut thank you

Seriously. I know it's not exactly fair, or even possible, but there should be an age limit on that shit. Like, after age 25 you're barred from using it. It's mostly just a toxic hell hole and a medium to talk shit to celebs, athletes, and politicians you dont like. Its pointless and causes more harm than good.

Every member of the football team is no doubt trying their best. Sometimes that isn’t up to the standards but that doesn’t mean asshats like Braylon should ever be allowed to attack them

Braylon made plays when it counted. Who was the last player to do that? Henne couldn’t beat OSU, Denard was comically miscast as a QB. He’s heartsick and I don’t fault him for saying it: Michigan is an irrelevant, middling college football team. It hurts to finally have to accept that, but it’s true. The era from 1969-1997 is closed. Not going to return.
