Entire 2018 class has officially enrolled per directory
All 19 scholarship freshman in the 2018 class have enrolled per the umich directory.
Julius Welschof was the last one to enroll.
Lets do this!!
That’s a relief, you never know if there is going to be a surprise or not,
Wow! That’s a lot of 3-Stars! /s
All the three stars is ares.
That's some mighty fine stalking. Top shelf old boy.
You expect me to believe this is a straight stalker case?
Thanks WeirDo
Nice to hear 'bout this each year. Feels like we are off and running. Down periscope.
Aaand, yes. That is exactly who I guessed would have combed the student directory. How fine is the line between researching and stalking??
Not that fine.
I've always found this to be really creepy.
Not "really" creepy. This is, at worst, "mildly" creepy. "Really" creepy is going through your neighbor's trash for fingernail clippings and used Kleenex just so you can feel slightly closer to her...
I appreciate what you bring to the mgoblog community
I REALLY wish I had the ability to upvote!
It's viewable for the public, it's fair game.
The same can be said about peering through someone's bedroom window at night if their blinds are cracked open. Or staring at a woman through binoculars from across the bar.
Things can be both viewable to the public and also creepy.
Must've missed where Peeping Tom charges are given to people searching publicly accessible databases.
Why? How is researching the academic status of recruits remotely creepy? People have no problems researching their athletic prowess, so how is this different?
Agree. Creepy, no. Unbelievable that you have that kind of time and care that much, yes.
I don't, and I could live my life in serenity if I never knew the status. Still, for those who hang on every last bit of information regarding a recruit up to and including the LOI, I should think they would be interested to learn that the recruit they know will transform the football team will in fact be enrolled and be part of that team.
They all suck. The whole class sucks. Everything sucks. My whole life sucks and there is no future and all hope is lost.
Check out the stress thread from the other day. It might help you.
That...sucks.
I hope you had your Arby's today...
That’s a crying shame
Ahhh yes that time of year where WD posts what he finds in the directory then people make fun of him for it. The mgoblog circle of life.
Haha. This was a post where I didn’t even need to complain to Seth that we should be able to see the author prior to clicking. I would have bet a paycheck it was WD.
One of these days, we're going to need to survey other Big Ten blogs and ask how many of them use the campus e-mail directory for minor scoops on the status of their recruiting classes. Not a knock on the idea, of course, but it does seem rather unusual on its surface even though admittedly it is probably one of the most reliable sources.
I mean my level of expectation with this board has me surprised nobody has asked if the grayshirt kicker is on campus, too (he is, I just checked).
Hilarious! Way to follow up immediately... I was about to worry...
Are you implying Julius is a slacker?
Inject the football content into my veins forever and ever amen
Good stuff, and hats off for your resourcefulness WD. In four years when these kids are graduating seniors, it will be interesting to see what kind of players they become. If the 21st ranked recruiting class in the country turns out to have six NFL draft picks and four 10 win seasons, it will be safe to say that Coach Harbaugh and staff did their job in talent evaluation and development. The converse could also be true, but as a speculating fan, I choose optimism.
What classes are they taking?
I thought we were a basketball school now?
As a long time stalker of this blog and an occasional poster. I love WolverineDevotee's dedication to his craft and the annual "everyone is officially enrolled per directory" is something I look forward to. Thanks WD.
I imagine Welschof had some extra paperwork and visa issues to wait for, so it's not a surprise that he would take more time (currently dealing with some of that myself) - nice to hear they're all in :)
