and THAT my friends is the story of my Detroit Lion fandom from 1969 to present day. It's unbelievable that they've been able to sustain having drives like that end like that over FIVE DECADES of different players and countless coaches.

they keep this up, they're winning this game. For the first time in 10 years. Oh, fumble touchdown Green Bay, forget everything I just typed...:|

This is SO Lions. Completely outplay a team, botch two chances to score Touchdowns, give the team a short field on a botch kick-off then cap it off with a fumble returned for a TD.
How soon until the Borges-led offense hits the field on Saturday? I need something to look forward too.

Same Old Lions. Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them.
November 28th, 2013 at 1:21 PM ^
I'm not trying to troll. I seriously think they are going to lose out. They did it last year and it looks like that will be the case this season. The turnovers are killing the Lions this year.

How's this post sitting with you after watching the Lions dominate a team in a way they haven't in 20 years? 560-126 yard advatnage. 30 first downs vs 7. 41 minutes of clock vs 19. Almost 2 100 yd rushers. Offense outscoring opposing offense 38-3.

When Bush holds on to the ball he's pretty damn lethal.

can very easily win this game. 3 turnovers, a missed field goal, and a kickoff out of bounds. All in one half.

I understand your point, but really Lions fans have earned their right to be excessively pessimistic - even if it is early in a game.

The Lions are so mistake prone. Fire Schwartz and bring someone in who pays attention to detail.
November 28th, 2013 at 2:08 PM ^
Calm down they're still winning. And how is Akers missing a 31 yarder Schwartz' fault?
November 28th, 2013 at 2:09 PM ^
ridiculous.
November 29th, 2013 at 12:06 AM ^
Schwartz has done a better job coaching this team than any other coach in 20 years since Wayne Fontes. And he's cool as ice on the sidelines which is pretty badass. I hope that what you want never happens.
November 28th, 2013 at 2:08 PM ^
Pretty sure that one's not on Schwartz.

Aaron Rodgers should win MVP. It's amazing how different a team Green Bay is without him.

"Personal foul. He hit him too hard. 15 yard penalty, automatic first down"
November 28th, 2013 at 2:52 PM ^
Penalty! Hitting too hard and being mean, fifteen yards. First down.
November 28th, 2013 at 2:55 PM ^
How was that a personal foul? No helmet to helmet hit, didnt hit late and it was a perfect form tackle. WFT?
November 28th, 2013 at 3:12 PM ^
That used to be just a good football play...now it draws a flag. The old philosophy of "make them pay over the middle" is long gone now. Its too bad, however the size and speed of these players today probably justifies the concern over these hits and the attempt to deter them.
November 28th, 2013 at 2:57 PM ^
Even God himself knew that wasnt a penalty. Therefore he miracled that ball into our hands as retribution.
SMITE THE REFS!
