Bowl Game outlook
What bowl do you think Michigan ends up in now?
Rose and Capital One are out of the question now. As well a BCS At-Large.
There are 8 bowl games to fill, the B1G only has 7 bowl eligible teams. illinois, indiana & northwestern are at 3-6, 4-5 & 4-5 respectively. So unless they pull magic out of their ass, it looks like no B1G team will be headed to Detroit.

At this point, what difference does it make?

Is it bad that I am just completely apathetic about our bowl game and who it is against?
November 9th, 2013 at 8:55 PM ^
We already accepted a bid to play Florida in the I-dont-care-anymore-bowl.

November 9th, 2013 at 9:14 PM ^
Well, after today it doesn't look like Florida's going to be bowl eligible this year...
November 9th, 2013 at 10:12 PM ^
way to ruin the joke.
November 9th, 2013 at 8:56 PM ^
but a Gator bowl trip is almost guaranteed at this point.

They took a 6-6 ohio team in 2011 against a 6-6 florida team.
November 9th, 2013 at 11:40 PM ^
...and faced Utah State in something called the "Famous Idaho Potato Bowl" after they lost in the MAC championship game.
November 9th, 2013 at 10:48 PM ^
considering the alternatives, it might be ok.

I'm not a fan of repeating non Rose bowls in back to back years, so I kinda would rather go to Tempe and the BWW Bowl than do Tampa and the Outback Bowl again
November 9th, 2013 at 9:02 PM ^
Agreed. I'd rather go to Tempe or to Texas than go back to Tampa.
(what alliteration!)
November 9th, 2013 at 9:20 PM ^
I'm all about that Tempe game now. 10:30 pm kickoff on a weeknight...I can avoid the frustration of watching the second half b/c I'll have work in the morning.
November 9th, 2013 at 8:59 PM ^
the real thing to do is decline all bowl invites if we lose out and go 6-6
but knowing Dave Brandon, he'll make the team go to one so he can pimp out some sweet new uniformz
November 9th, 2013 at 9:04 PM ^
Anyone who declines a bowl invite is a damn fool. Extra practices.
That's the only thing that really matters in these kinds of bowls. And you get a neat little trophy and t-shirt if you win. Plus a check via bowl game payout.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:05 PM ^
Forgot about the extra practices
but you know Brandon will want some uniformz no matter what low-tier bowl we go to
November 9th, 2013 at 9:08 PM ^
No doubt. It's our new tradition.
I have no problem with it unless it is the Rose Bowl.
Maybe some red dots on the pants like Pepperoni if they play in the LCPB.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:50 PM ^
I'm suprised the Big Ten doesn't have a rule (that is, if they don't) that you can't turn down a bowl invitation due to the revenue sharing agreement.
November 10th, 2013 at 9:46 AM ^
That's part of the reason to increase the size of the conference. Don't think that we could turn one down if we wanted to. They don't want to so don't worry. You'll have the opportunity to see Al Borges one more time around the holidays.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:11 PM ^
That would the dumb thing to do. It is also an idiotic and unrealstic suggestion.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:54 PM ^
So we can lose the extra practices?
November 9th, 2013 at 9:00 PM ^
At this rate, I couldn't care less about the bowl itself. I only want a bowl for the extra practices.
November 9th, 2013 at 10:51 PM ^
as long as we're within two wins, and we should be, we'll go to the highest bowl possible. The Gator is in play until we actually end up 6-6... if we're 8-4 0r 7-5, we end up in Jax.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:01 PM ^
Toilet Bowl. I made a funny, you guys.

don't be insulting.
soft coverage, no pass russ, no offense.
We'd lose by 7 TDs.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:06 PM ^
Screw the Outback Bowl. I rather not see Michigan play an SEC team this year.
Saw people projecting Michigan vs Oklahoma or Texas in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Very winnable games. OU offense is horrendous.
Plus Michigan can do all new kinds of formations that work that they could've used during the season ala 2008 Capital One Bowl.

November 9th, 2013 at 9:17 PM ^
Based on OU sucks and Big Game Bob does not win bowl games.

Could've said that about Nebraska and Pelini before today. Look how well that turned out.

Pregame Pizza party at the Tiger Club @ Comerica. 10 cent slices & you get a can of pop with each slice.
Lloyd Carr presents the trophy too.
At least I'd get to see Michigan play in a bowl game in person. Don't want any part of NIU though.
November 9th, 2013 at 9:19 PM ^
Brandon could hire a plane to skywrite "Dominos" over the Little Caesar's bowl at half. Should intimidate the lunch crowd.

right here made my damn day. Thank you sir.
